Corpse Party:Blood Covered to become Localized

Having teased such an announcement for a few months now, XSEED Games today revealed that they'll be publishing the Japanese PSP horror title Corpse Party in English. The game is "...a cult favorite in its native Japan when it was released, Corpse Party promises to deliver a tense and bone-chilling experience for all who dare step foot into situations they may not be prepared to survive."

Corpse Party will exclusively be released via the PlayStation Network.

Btw, how does the PSP version differ from the original?

The stright up original was a PC-98 title and had some rather...not-so-pretty graphics. The PSP port makes a complete overhaul both plot, gameplay, and GUI-wise.

Hm, well, even if you don't find it, I will hope it's true and it's fine 8D

Oh, and TVTropes says this in regards of th differences between the many versions:

The original Corpse Party was a PC-98 game made with RPG Tsukuru Dante98. It was later adapted into a PC game released in chapters, titled Corpse Party: Blood Covered, with a reworked plot and new characters. Blood Covered was later released on the PSP as Corpse Party: Blood Covered ...Repeated Fear, with new art, event CGs, and a different voice cast.

I do believe 2nd game is just a spinoff, starting from one of the 1st game bad end. And if I get it right, translation of 2nd game is under big question, as they don't know how good will be the sells.

BTW, does anybody know, where can I get PC-98 version of Corpse Party?

I've never tried this series before, but holy crap those trailers gave me chills.
