LovePlus fan translation just about done

Like any other fan translation or hack of a DS game, this will not work with a legit cartridge. You will need a flash cart in order to get it to work with a genuine DS system. And if you do not have, or can't afford a flash cart, then you will have to use emulation software to get it to work with a computer. Either way, you will need to obtain a ROM file, and use free software in order to patch the game. Make sure to read TVTropes' discussion on emulation here: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Emulation It's a messy, complex issue.

The translation project is not *quite* done. There are probably a few bugs which need to be found and removed. And there may be a few typos, errors, or inconsistencies. On the other hand, I think we can finally say that we have a playable version of LovePlus in English.

A side note -- Jjjewel, who was the leader of this project, is starting work on the DS version of Otometeki Koi Kakumei Love Revo.

Bumping my own thread (sorry...), since patch 1.0 is now available at https://sites.google.com/site/loveplust ... uary072012 . If you click the link, you'll see a report stating that two or three bugs still exist that don't exist in the original game. The project is considered done, though there might still be a 1.1 patch.

i DLd the rom and the english patch and the patch works fine, but i think i DLd a bad copy of the game. when i start the game i just get a black screen with text. (i thought it was the patched so i checked the original game ROM and same thing) is this normal? i dont think so right?

I don't think this is the right forum for technical support for legally questionable stuff. Ask the people you got it from?
