Can't remember if this game has ever been mentioned on the forums here...
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/39931316/ for the game (free)
http://www.lulu.com/content/557929 for the shiny colored guidebook (not free)

Check out the links to the community members there.
Elite of the elites, really awesome artwork they got.
My honest opinion is any one of their drawings is 10,000X more awesome than even the best event CG I've seen.
Imagine if they use those drawings for visual novels.
Wow. Just wow.
P.S.
That Flash game takes awfully long time to load btw.

*nod* I'd suggest downloading it to play, it's about 7MB and deviantart can be laggy at times.

How does one download it to their computer? Like all Flash objects on the web, it seems embedded in the window. Is there a link to an exe somewhere?
P.S.
Gah, got bad-ended twice already!

There's a set of icons to the top-left of the flash box, if you mouseover them they pop a box out with a link marked 'Download' amongst them; right click, save as...

Just tried playing it, got up to 10 % in like 5 minutes, I'll download it.
Well, I couldn't get it to download, but I'm glad that it's on here at least:

It also loads MUCH faster on newgrounds, so you really don't need to download it if you play it here.

Rargh! I can't solve that blasted murder mystery -- every single 'murder weapon' and its conclusion leads to a bad end. If it comes down to lame pixel hunting I'm going to be royally peeved.
And $25 for a 60-page paperback is insane -- I really have to wonder where they derived their price from.
I should add, though, it's pretty neat otherwise.

Artbooks are more expensive. Print-on-demand is more expensive. And it's supposed to be a sort of donation to the game producer to help support them in making more projects like that. It's not supposed to be considered in value along with bookshop books. I think.

Yeah, Print-on-Demand can have some pretty high costs. Check Lulu's cost calculator, that's 60 pages of full colour, perfect-bound... the base manufacturing price for that is more than half the cover price, they're unlikely to sell very many in the grand scheme of things and it will have taken hours of work to put together, not even counting the time taken for game production... so really, it seems like a quite reasonable price to me...
... but yeah - I didn't play the game for that long, but it did seem a little arbitrary in places. Almost like they were being deliberately opaque so you had to buy some kind of guide...

I missed the artbook bit, I think -- that does put it into a little more perspective. And I know POD is more expensive, but $25 for a 60 page book -- if it WASN'T also an artbook -- is way out of the ballpark of any figures I've ever seen, even for the infamous vanity printer PublishAmerica. Then again, I'm thinking of figures for typical text-only (or minimally illustrated) books. As far as POD artbooks go, I have no clue.
(Okay, an addendum: I just read the above by Jake, and that does put things a bit more into perspective.)
Being opaque to promote the guide is a good way to alienate the audience you seek -- though I don't think that's what they were going for. I hope that's not what they're going for...
(Incidentally, the boards seem slower than molasses right now. Is it just me?)
(More editing for clarification. Blargh. My brain = shot.)
