For those who haven't heard of this game, it's a visual created by La'Cryma and Circus (Yes, that Circus) about...well, I'll let you guys read the summary:
In a post-war mangrove surrounded island, there exist a magical ritual, one that requires a sacrifice between twelve selected magi before thirteen hours elapsed every occurrence of the I-Space: a world that resembles the real world in every aspect except only those with magical powers can enter. This ritual, aptly named Ragnarök, is said to be created by Odin, for the sole purpose of absorbing the mana the last standing magus collected. No one knows for certain who Odin is or what his purpose of absorbing mana is, but all one can be certain, when selected for Ragnarök, is that one has to kill in order to survive.

Reiji Yoshino is such an individual, returning to his home island after leaving for work and training for four years, he finds himself thrown to the fray of living two separate lives: enjoying the school life with his friends and classmates at day, and fighting them as a magus at night. To him, his only motivation to fight is to protect his daily life routine: going to school and returning home to his family, but will he have enough determination to protect his daily life even if it means taking away his opponent’s?
Personally, I enjoyed this title, despite the glaring similarites it had to Fate/Stay Night and other BR-styled games. For those curious by how it might be, here's the first scene from the game (Translated):

Looks like a mix between Battle Royale/Hunger Games and Persona 3. U:

Oh wow, there's someone doing a translation of this game? Words cannot describe how happy I am right now. Also, thank you for the link.
What interest me was some descriptions of the characters' abilities I read elsewhere. And I also heard some good things about it.

Well, EXA is already translated and put on Youtube (Check out the channel of the guy who did the prolouge) but no patch has been made (Would also be a pain to do with the image editing that would have to be done) and the fandisk, nächsten Phase is also going through translation (Well, the new scenes anyway)

Did you mean the translation by the same guy on Youtube? Well that's fine too. But I hope someone will notice this game and gather a translation group for it. I feel like it's a waste of potential if only few people on Youtube can read it.

As for a translation, maybe you should hope for one of those official translation like from Mangagamer. Translating a game like this from scratch requires a lot of manpower and of course, motivation. As far as I know, there are sparks of interest in doing the work somewhere but I'm not sure and I think it was quite a long time ago so don't count on it.

Well guess there's no hope other than dedicating yourself into learning Japanese then...

You know Circus is part of MangaGamer, right? It's not -that- crazy...

It would be, especially considering how the game works. One major one: the ruby text rarely matches the kanji it's shown over.
Ex: One of the characters has an attack called "Stormbringer" The ruby text (ストームブレディンガー) says this, but the Japanese (傷だらけの忠誠心) reads "Wounded Loyalty"

Also, there's the fact that there's more plot than porn. (EXS Akkord:nachsten Phase has 13 adult scenes (8 that happen in-game, and 5 that are bonus) and about 275 story scenes) Then there's also the fact you can turn said porn scenes off...

Out of curiosity, how does this relate to the game being hard to translate? Light/Visual Novels and Manga all have a tendency to do this. It's sometimes lost in translation, but there's nothing stopping them from translating the furigana, too(from the technical side, that is). It's certainly not unheard of -- from the top of my head, I recall the Fate/Hollow Ataraxia translation project also translating all of the furigana.

Um... is this a problem? Forgive me as I don't really know about how Mangagamer work or anything about their translating policy.

Mostly it comes from how a group chooses to translate it. Those who are set for having a stright translation will only translate the japanese and Kanji, while more 'loose' groups will translate the furigana instead. Personally, I think both should be translated since the furigana is the name of the ability/attack/location but the Kanji si the 'meaning'.

MangaGamer tends to focus more on porn-heavy games (look at the link I posted above to see what they announced), and when they do translate a story-heavy game, it'll usually be plauged with delay after delay.

Ah, so your main complaint was that Mangagamer is simply too lazy to translate it properly. Alright, yes, that's certainly true. 100% agreed.

Just dropping by to say that EXA's updated release, fortissimo EXS//Akkord: nachsten Phase, has been fully translated as well. You can find it on COMegamanexe's Youtube channel. (It is reccomended you read through EXA, since EXS only added routes that occur later on in EXA's storyline.
