Somehow, I missed hearing about this work in progress until now. It seems a number of fans have been trying to create, in their own words, "...a reverse harem Madoka Magica visual novel..." They are definitely using Renpy. Surprisingly, they plan to have voiced dialogue for this free fan game.

The project has not been active on Livejournal recently, but there are still meaningful updates on Tumblr. If you want to help or comment, then the best place for feedback is probably the dedicated Tumblr page.

I've been hearing this project too from lj, I thought the project is discontinued! Glad to see that it is progressing quite well.

And... I am surprised to know that they're actually using Ren'Py.
