Earlier today, I learned that Aroduc of Seiha Translations has a new fan translation project planned. But this time, the person is using a Kickstarter in order to cover life expenses in order to get it done. In his exact words, "I don't have the time to take on a second project at the same time as also juggling the things I need to do to eat and live. If this is funded, I won't need to worry about that stuff as much and will be able to devote some actual time here while continuing to work on Seinarukana." Aroduc has asked for $2500 US. As of this writing, people have pledged over half that amount. The Kickstarter will end on May 17 2013.
The game that will be translated is Girlish Grimoire Little Witch Romanesque. Like most of what Aroduc has worked on, it has quite a bit of gameplay, and some explicit content. The company which originally created it, Littlewitch, published products from 2002 to 2010, and is currently on "indefinite suspension" (according to its VNDB entry). None of Littlewitch's games or VNs have an official localization, but fans have created full patches for Quartett and Period.
Just so you know, I'll be copying most of this text and making a new topic about this on the Megatokyo forums.

That was fast. It raised the dough, and was promptly killed.
Romanesque Translation Project (Canceled) is the subject of an intellectual property dispute and is currently unavailable.
A bit of evn history: This was one of the games that inspired monele to make Magical Boutique, the first proper sim game in Ren'Py.
Anyways, it's pretty ironic that if you want to get money or even just be compensated a little bit for your efforts, EVN projects have historically been far more successful.

Surprise, surprise... JAST has announced that it's licensed Little Witch Romanesque. This means that the release date is "when it's done," but at least there's confirmation that an English version will be made.
