Have you seen this?I played it a bit, even though I didn't finish the demo(I can only play it a few minutes a day...) I already like it a lot!I admit that it's mostly due to the pretty pretty graphics and the menus, I love how the options pop up if you hover the mouse on the right corner of the text window.
And I think this is the first time I see a game that replays the characters' voices AND animations if you scroll back D:

Ooooh, the animations and expressions, don't even make me go there...</3

So, What do you think of it?I couldn't stop wondering if Ren'Py could make something like that while playing too...

I just love playing that demo - it looks wonderful. I wish I could do something like that, but alas.... :P
I would love to play the full game, but my japanese reading skills aren't that good yet <_<

It was great. Too bad it was NNL's last demo translation.
I was inspired by the techniques they used. Definitely doable, but going to be a pain using layers.

YES! Oh I hope so much that this is true ^^ (And that they will release a non-ero patch version, like they did with Wind.....)

Edit: Forget that, I just found the place in their FAQ that says that there won't be a non-ero choice >_< dang.

They weren't, but it looks like they changed their mind :)

OMG!!!! *Dances* THIS IS AWESOME NEWS!!!! =3

I'm a major fan of Ef, ever since I saw A Tale of memories... so far that I became a Midori Fan (as I'm also a Type-Moon fan... I bow to their greatness lol), so I was really looking foward to this ^^

*jumps around happily*

That's because someone else offered to translate (and proved that they were serious), while others from NNL's IRC channel were recruited to handle non-translation aspects.

NNL is taking on a supervisory role, which should be a big help.

You can't have a non-ero ef. The H scenes are part and parcel of the story; they aren't meaningless addons like the ones in wind were.

Who would have thought it?

There was a chapter 1 release!

Mind that it's not a patch but a standalone build. So I wonder if this means I'm linking to pirated stuff? o_O Hope I'm not doing anything wrong... if so, feel free to edit/delete.

Anyway, with all the drama, I actually think they made a clever move in not saying a word about it until now. At least they could finish it without people bugging them about it, and those who want it can get a nice surprise :P

I'm not sure if I'm going to play it yet.

How many is the print run, usually, I wonder... 5000 copies?

Thanks for posting it, Vatina!

I'm not sure either if the post will be edited, but if I do play it and like it, I could buy the original copy and not feel too guilty about it (the presentation is nice enough that you'd drool over it even without understanding the dialogues, after all)?

Not sure.. but ef -the first tale- was the 4th highest seller of 2006 (as recorded by getchu) and I find it very hard to believe Sengoku Rance (5th) was sold in a <5000-copy run.

EDIT: http://zepy.momotato.com/2007/03/01/ero ... year-2006/
Well, that gives a partial answer for TFT, at least.

I was just reading around on NNL's post about the translation and found this part:
We never intended to include the removal-of-ero-scenes option, but after seeing the disappointed reactions from some, we decided to include it anyway.
Yes! If that is true, then I'm playing this after all :P
