"FutaKoi" (Twin Girls)

#1 Post by chronoluminaire »

A game getting lots of attention in Japan at the moment: "Futakoi", also known as "Twin Girls".
Basically, main male character gets five pairs of identical twins falling in love with him. Some of the twins will fight their sisters, while others seem content to share you... o.o

This page summarises it quite well:

The official site's in Japanese:

Woah.... sounds coolies... definetely gonna check this out.

I wish it were like this in real life...
"Reno, did it ever occur to you that you might be an alcoholic?"
"Nope, I'm a drunk."
"There's a difference."
"Drunks don't go to meetings."

I just fear it'll takes months if not years before we'll get our hands on this precious gem of a game.

Sounds awesome! Looks awesome, too. *scrolls through art on the first website mentioned* Pity indeed that it usually takes long for a game to reach the people.

Well, if it's anything like Sister Princess, it'll also have an anime (the first page linked to does suggest there's an anime coming too). And unlike games, animes tend to be fansubbed and released within literally days of being broadcast. So we'll probably see the anime not too long after the Japanese do. (I'm looking forward to the Yumeria anime very much, being broadcast starting on January 8th I think. The Yumeria game - http://www.yumeria.com - was a groundbreaking fully 3D ren'ai game with very cute characters, and from what I can tell had a cool and intriguing story.)

Unfortunately, the anime Sister Princess, and also Sister Princess Repure, were, um, quite dire by most accounts -.- I've seen the first two of Repure, and while cute, it really wasn't anything special... while the game is meant to be excellent. Since Futakoi is the sequel to Twin Girls, I just hope the anime is better...

::crosses fingers:: One can only hope that they make improvements, but companies have made flops with trying new things before.... like FFX... good game, but they tried too many new things as once....
