Recruiting Rules: (1) Only recruit if you have an actual, clearly defined project you're recruiting for. Don't recruit if you're an organization that may have a project at some time in the future. (2) Tell people what kind of work you have for them. For commissions, also tell them how much work it will probably be. (3) Tell people how much work on your project is already complete. Project in early stages.

#1 Post by Jyuuguchi » Sun Nov 08, 2015 1:21 pm

Hi everyone!

This is Jyuuguchi from jyuuguchi.wordpress.com, and I will be making an otome game with a few others. We have a fantastic illustrator and might monetize the game on kickstarter and Steam when we finish, but we currently need these people for our project:

You can check out the recruitment page here as well:
https://jyuuguchi.wordpress.com/2015/11 ... ve-people/

We aim to finish in a year or two.

-Music composer for BGM
-Music composer for OP/ED song.

The music composer must be able to produce clean music (i.e, no recording with laptop/piano)
The composer(s) can work with me for the OP/ED as I will be singing them.

I will also need:

-software programmer for our VN
-website designer / game interface designer

Please reply here if interested,
Or ask me questions on Twitter @jyuuguchi! Thanks and hope to hear from some of you! :)

So is your project free or commercial? (Since you have two threads) Also, what is your story about?

It looks like you have already opened a thread for this project here.

I flipped around the locking - since this is going to be on kickstarter, it's commercial. This might still need to be locked due to a lack of any proposal as to what the game is going to be about, and for failing to comply with the rest of the recruiting requirements.

Thanks PyTom,

Since we're going to be a commercial project eventually, we don't want to give out too much of our project. But it will be a romance VN aimed at girls, will be in English but the setting will be Japan. I (Jyuuguchi) will be directing the project, as well as Scripting.

That's not quite enough for a valid thread.

To quote from our recruitment requirements, you need:
  • 1) An overview of the project, or a link to an overview. Recruitment threads that are not created for a specific project but generally for a company or organization of sorts ("headhunting threads") will no longer be allowed in this forum.

    2) A description of what sort of work needs to be done, for example "Need a character artist" or "Need a script writer". For commissions, we strongly suggest giving an estimate of how much of that work will be necessary. (Examples: "Four character sprites in 4-5 poses each" or "A dialogue script of approximately 60,000 words")

    3) A description of what work has been completed on the project, if any.
