Hey, I’m the current artist for this project, and I thought I’d chime in to try to provide a bit of an extra explanation of what our thing is about for those interested to know more!

On the art side, You Are Not Alone/YANA is really kind of an experiment. There’s a lot of common tropes in VNs, and EVNs, that we’d like to play with and explore to some degree. I think one of our objectives is to create something different (especially for the EVN genre), while still keeping a degree of familiarity, and making something that the viewer can both enjoy and be surprised by.

A lot of the art is still in the air, and our process right now is focused on figuring out what exactly we want a post-apocalyptic VN to look like. (But that’s the fun part, right?) For me, it’s a great opportunity to explore designs, and I hope any artists willing to join the project will also take the chance to create something original and exciting.

I really want to highlight that we’re looking for a collaborator, not just some guy to draw whatever we ask him/her to. Though this project will hopefully end up being commercial, this is something we do at heart because we enjoy it and want to make something fun. So no one should feel afraid or hesitate to offer their help - if you can draw and enjoy adventure/sci-fi themes, we’d love to work with you.

Although this post is probably gonna end up in a few different places, if you have any questions regarding the art of this project, Alex and I will be super happy to answer them.
