Ambassador of Sieubia (AoS) Recruitment Thread

#1 Post by wakagana »

Hello, Lemmasoft! Team Bread is a collective group of game designers, artists, musicians, and programmers working on various projects and games – and we’re looking for some help!
Image
Currently, we're focused on Ambassador of Sieubia – AoS for short, is an adult themed fantasy/adventure Visual Novel following the story and choices of Nisha Ellanor.

With various gameplay elements like combat, story decisions, adult content and semi-customization of characters, we hope to bring a new world to audiences in the shape of the classic hero’s journey.

Our team consists of 8 people and we’re looking to expand it now that the project is running – we just need that extra little boost to get us airborne.
For more information on the project, feel free to check out our old Kickstarter page.

(We are revamping the Kickstarter and hope to launch it with a demo of the game by mid to late spring.)
Some Disclaimers –

Adult Themes: AoS has adult themed content including violence, use of alcohol and drugs and sexual intercourse with various different sexualities and genders. (Female/Female – Shemale/Shemale – etc etc. Basically anything aside from the player/protagonist playing a male since that option isn’t available.)

Employment Status: We are currently looking for VOLUNTEER work that will hopefully transition to paid employment, as we do not have the funds available to pay for certain elements of the game’s production prior to our Kickstarter – however, given the Kickstarter succeeds, you will be paid for future work.
(Or previous work, if it’s that important to you. However, keep in mind this will hinder our budget planning with our stretch goals unless we can negotiate a rate to work with you prior to starting.)

With this in mind, please feel free to take a look and some of the positions we’re in search of.

Writing/Proofreading

Assistant Writer and Proofreader –

The writing and story direction is under the control of the lead developers – however, we are looking for someone with some visual novel writing experience to create a few off-branching story lines (akin to quests) and to help with proofreading and make sure that things are consistent within the script. When games have numerous choices, it can be hard to keep track of small fundamental things to ensure each storyline or route doesn’t cross over inexplicably. Another pair of eyes can never hurt!

Art

Concept/Sketch Artist –

Our art team is already filled with a background artist, sprite artist, and CG artist – however, to ease the process on the artists already working with us, we’re looking for someone to give rough designs of characters, monsters and occasionally terrains/locations. Drawing maps of specific sections of the world could also be one of your responsibilities.

Audio

Music –

For the time being our team only has one musician and we are in dire need of more bodies in this field. We’re looking for a mixture of Fantasy/Slice of Life/Easy listening styled themes to help immerse the player further. Most songs should be looped from start to finish and should be thought of more as a ‘zone or character’ theme.

Background/Atmospheric Effects –

While background noise is sometimes overlooked in Visual Novels, in a game where atmosphere and immersion are important to us, we want to make sure when the player is in a bustling city, or in the woods at night, it feels like it.

Voice acting –

Originally, voice acting was to be a stretch goal in our Kickstarter, but we want to get a taste of what voice acting would be like within AoS. Having a few voice actors to help polish up the demo for the game could lead to a good deal of success with the Kickstarter’s launch and help us with getting a fully voice-acted product. (Just to not clutter this post further - feel free to check out the Kickstarter page and look at some of the characters listed there)
