Recruiting Rules: (1) Only recruit if you have an actual, clearly defined project you're recruiting for. Don't recruit if you're an organization that may have a project at some time in the future. (2) Tell people what kind of work you have for them. For commissions, also tell them how much work it will probably be. (3) Tell people how much work on your project is already complete. (4) Always open recruitment threads in the correct subforum - Free, Commercial or Paid Work.

Hello, we are currently looking for a background artist for our game 1st Degree, a boys love dating sim about solving crimes and maybe making a few of your own.
You can find more about the game on our thread here. We are hoping to start a kickstarter after we finish the demo, but in order to finish the demo (and the full game) we'll need a background artist.
Background Artist Must:
- Be willing to draw 8 backgrounds for the demo
- Be willing to draw 25~ backgrounds in total for the full game (including the 8 from the demo)
- Be 18 years or older
- Join our group discord
- (Preferably) have a semi-realistic / anime style (refer to the image above for our sprite style)
The BG artist will be paid $800 plus royalties from the finished game after the Kickstarter succeeds. If the Kickstarter fails, we will hold a second Kickstarter and you will be paid the $200 for the 8 BGs from the demo over a period of 3 months.
For example, the 8 backgrounds needed for the demo will be:
- Inside of a dark warehouse
- Crime scene
- Rei’s workspace at the Crime agency (complex)
- Autopsy room (complex)
- Rei’s bedroom
- Rei’s living room/kitchen
- Jun/Rei’s classroom (same place)
- Jun’s office
