Recruiting Rules: (1) Only recruit if you have an actual, clearly defined project you're recruiting for. Don't recruit if you're an organization that may have a project at some time in the future. (2) Tell people what kind of work you have for them. For commissions, also tell them how much work it will probably be. (3) Tell people how much work on your project is already complete. (4) Always open recruitment threads in the correct subforum - Free, Commercial or Paid Work.
The word count on the script currently written is sitting at roughly 40k, with a view for a final word count between 150k and 200k, I have been working with another writer but due to other commitments they wont be able to continue to working on the project, however they may return in the future.
The game follows Michael a young man in his early/mid twenties and the relationships he forms through joining a band and the journey he takes with his bandmates. This is a romantic visual novel that can follow multiple routes, but it is also about friendship and life experiences. As a music teacher myself I hope this game will not only tell a compelling story of love and friendship and a journey in music but also inspire the players to take an interest in music, recording or performing whatever art form they may specialise in.
The game is set in a fictional USA large town/city and follows mostly young adults with lives and problems similar to reality, but with exaggerated situations to keep the game entertaining. The game is inspired by similar themed Japanese visual novels, my own experiences in bands, other musicians I know well. The art style will also reflect its Japanese influences.
The plan for the game is for it to be available commercially once it is completed.
Im looking for a writer/multiple writers that are interested in the themes, or have musical knowledge themselves. This is a project of passion and I would like to build a team with the same passion I have for the project.
My budget is very limited, but I believe in this project and I believe that everyone should be paid for their creative work so this will be a paid writing position, I cant afford to pay a huge amount but I am willing to discuss rates.
Alternatively I can offer composing for a soundtrack, mixing/mastering, or audio editing as a skill swap. I have a well equipped home studio and multiple instruments to work with. I have experience in almost any genre of music.
Thank for taking your time to read this please send me over an email at email@example.com if you are interested in working together.
