VISION [Multi-Ending VN] | Seeking Artists, Writers & Programmers

#1 Post by Mekio »

Brief Synopsis

30xx. The Earth's resources have been exhausted through various means. In a bid for survival, human advanced their pursuit of technology to create Domes, large manufactured bio-structures that exist in the place of major cities across the globe. Humanity and technology are now fully integrated in a new type of society where the automation necessary for everyday life is handled by robot constructs known as SCIONs. It is an ideal utopia forged by man and machine--a utopia about to be shattered by an event that will change the world.

The player character, Strata Creed (customizable name/gender), is caught up on the terrorism event that rocks the New Chicago Dome. In the wake of the disaster that shatters centuries of peace in stability, they find themselves tied to the organization behind the attack, only known as VISION, in more ways than they knew possible. As the story progresses, they come to know the truth behind VISION, the world they live in and themselves, and the true price of peace and prosperity.

System

VISION will be in the style of a visual novel with choices made along the main path that can influence the ending or lead to a "true ending." In total, six endings are being planned.

What We're Looking For

The VISION project is currently in need of artists (sprites, backgrounds, CGs, logo), programmers (Ren'py), and scriptwriters.

Artistic candidates must be comfortable drawing mecha and "20 Minutes Into The Future"-type designs.

All candidates must be willing to:
  • Work both independently and in a group chat setting (via Discord)
  • Be open to weekly or bi-weekly check-ins
  • Be open to possible R-18 material
  • Be willing and able to legally enter a contract
What is Complete so far?

Presently, the story is 15% finalized.

Compensation

As this is a commercial project for the Steam Marketplace, team members will be paid for their services. Presently, there is an IndieGoGo campaign (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/mekio-studios#/) launched for this purpose, but it can and will be amended to fit a budget as necessary. These will be made available to the public upon making agreements with said team members. Contracts will be fulfilled upon campaign completion. In the event the campaign is unsuccessful, negotiations will be re-initiated to determine compensation (likely percentage-based, determined by unit sales). The current set launch date is June 2019, but this is subject to change.
