[Closed] Game UI Artist: JRPG-style combat UI for VN/RS

We're looking for a User Interface artist for a game in progress. We expect to release a demo (Kickstarter/Greenlight) in a couple months, and the game itself in 6 months to a year. Long-term there are a number of UI screens to create, however, to start with we want to get the combat screen done. If this job is successful and we work well together, there will be follow-up work to create the other UI screens.

The combat engine is already fully functional, it's just using bare-bones programmer art (lots of boxes and cheesy gradients) and it's time to get it touched up with a real interface. So, you'd be working with me to send UI graphics which I would then put into the game and use to replace the mockup graphics. Though I do have an initial layout in place for the prototype, I'm happy to replace it with a better design so don't feel like you're stuck with my setup....I would welcome a total overhaul!

Game information:
Style: Anime/Fantasy

Genre: this game is a raising sim using a visual novel interface for character interactions (using Ren'Py as the base). The combat engine is JRPG inspired, using a CTB system like those in FF X and Trails in the Sky, along with a clear Grandia influence.

About the game: RPG/Visual Novel/Raising Sim. The main character is an orphan left to fend for herself at 14. She grows up throughout the course of the game, while doing lots of jobs around town. One month she’s a baker, the next month she’s a blacksmith, the next week she’s knight! Meanwhile she nurtures friendships/romances/rivals. The tone is relatively light, although there are darker paths she can go down. It’s up to the player what she becomes. This is a fresh take on the Princess Maker style games, bringing modern combat simulation, in depth social interactions (eg. Dragon Age), more jobs, and better endings.

Most of the art is going to be 2D pictures in an anime style, with no 3D models or the like. So, the combat UI will need to look good with just static pictures and some basic special effects for spell casts and similar. I've created a document going through what each part of the combat UI is going to need to do, along with screenshots from the prototype and placed it on Google Drive here: [Link removed as the recruitment thread is now closed]

I'm viewing this combat UI project as a benchmark job: it's probably going to be the hardest one for the game, so if you knock it out of the park then the rest of the UI work is yours. Off the top of my head, the full game is going to need:
a. All the usual Ren'Py UI tweaks (custom text/menus/game options/etc)
b. Custom screens for the PC's status and inventory, shop interfaces, screens for selecting which combat skills to use, etc
c. Various popup screens for things like unlocking a new skill or completing a quest
