Also, as a side note, I’ve written some lyrics for an OP song, and I’d love to work with someone who could set music to it.
The Visual Novel:
Quick, blurb-style summary: Jane is obsessed with the Sundown books. For years, she’s wanted to be a werewolf like its protagonist’s—Eleanor Snow’s—lover, Edmond Collins. They are misunderstood creatures, not beasts: beautiful, magical, and completely in control of their powers. Or so she thinks. But when, on the night of the full moon, a monstrous wolf attacks—and bites—her, she learns the truth. Can she survive the changes going through her body and the group of sadistic werewolf hunters that her father happens to lead? No. At least, not alone.
Basically, Jane, the MC, becomes a werewolf and has to deal with all the bad stuff that this raises. There are four love interests, one of whom needs to be unlocked. They will be discussed more in the characters section. What’s more, even though there are only four love interests, there will be six main routes, two of which revolve around love triangles, and thirteen endings.
The Work Needed:
What I really need is a polished drawing of Jane and each of the four love interests. Just one drawing per character. Again, this is to help me with writing and for the Kickstarter page.
For music, I'd like to be able to work with a composer who can interpret my lyrics into a melody and record it.
The Characters:
Jane, the protagonist, is a senior in high school. She has a bit of a punk vibe to her, but she’s kind and laid back. Her biggest secret? She is obsessed with the infamous Sundown books. She knows they suck, but she just loves them for some reason even she can’t explain. When she gets bitten by the werewolf, her personality starts to shift, becoming more aggressive and less patient. She needs help dealing with these changes before she ends up killing someone.
Robb, option 1, is Jane’s best friend. They’ve known each other since they were babies. Robb is a cheerful, always-smiling kind of guy, who nevertheless has a few dark secrets of his own. He cares about Jane more than anyone, and would do anything to protect her.
Morgan, option 2, is the young werewolf hunter assigned to watch Jane. The only problem is he’d rather just shoot her full of silver and be done with it; hunters are supposed to kill werewolves, not protect them (however Jane’s father, the leader of the hunters, is making an exception for her). But around normal humans, Morgan is charming, dashing—the life of the party. Can Jane get him to consider her a human?
Emyr, option 3, is the prince heir of the surviving organized werewolves. These werewolves see the change as a gift rather than a curse and fight against the hunters for their right to exist. Emyr has been raised to lead his whole life, but he’d honestly rather not have such huge responsibilities. He’s never kissed a girl, never been outside his family’s property. That, plus the dark whispers of his father and younger brother—he’s beginning to lose himself. Will Jane help?
Aspen, the true route, is a werewolf who has for years been a captive to the werewolf hunters, experimented on, tortured, pushed to the breaking point, until one night, on the full moon, he escapes. And, crazed, bites a girl. A girl named Jane.
Money:
I’m pretty broke right now, but I could scrape together about $200 for the art. Maybe a little more. It’s negotiable. But, again, this is just concept art, not the actual art that’s going to be in the game (unless you want to continue working with me, I suppose). The Kickstarter will pay for that. As for the music, please tell me your rates, and we’ll discuss it. I’ll see what I can do.
