Hello and good day! I'm Ezhno Amnchadh and I'm looking to begin a relatively simple visual novel. I originally wanted to hold it off until I'd finished more work for it, but I'd decided that there's no time like the present and I wanted to do my best to begin this project.
I work as an author and I've long desired to bring one of my stories into the format it's meant to be experienced as: a visual novel. I'm currently looking for other members to be a part of my team and family in bringing this dream to life!
I envision the project to be free when it's finished and I'm likewise working on writing a novel version of the story that differs from the visual novel.Team members will be added to the list for idea bouncers. I plan for the team to work together, freely communicating to better the project. I'll be taking care of all writing.

This project is projected to be rated 'C' or '15+'. It will not carry ecchi/sexual content or incest.

Now here's the tale of the project and its cast!

Plot
A few days into his summer vacation, the protagonist, Seren Hesutu, finds a letter written in pretty and flamboyant cursive upon a pink page. It's an invitation to a group called the Chess and Literary Club, of which he knows nothing of and disregards as accidentally sent to the wrong address. But before throwing it away and continuing his time in solitude, he hands it to his sister, Ariana, who urges him to join the group anyways. After missing the first official meeting posted, he is harassed by her until he decides to go the following week.
He makes his way to his school's library to meet the group and finds three girls there. The first is none other than his long time crush, Eleanor Kanapima, whom is fawned over universally by all the male students of his academy, much to her delightful ignorance. The second is his adventurous and tomboyish childhood friend, Amalia Padma, whom he's shared many a misadventure with throughout his days. And last but every bit of a card is the spacey and air headed Liriti Izarre whom Seren knows very little about.
Although his first meeting with the rather odd collection of characters is bumpy and discombobulated, he decides to continue joining the sessions as they strangely bring him joy. With this, the beginning of a summer vacation filled with fun, mischief, and adventure blooms under the sunshine and blue skies of the sweltering season.

If one speaks to Seren, it can be found that he is somewhat terse and standoffish with others, not wanting anything to do with their lives and troubles. However, a deeper and more gentle person lies beneath the dry and rough husk that fronts his character. Inside, he is truly a kind and caring individual who'd take a bullet for someone dear to him at the word 'jump'. Even if it's at first difficult to cross the barrier that stands between him and the world, it is without a doubt worth it. But at the end of the day the questions remain; why is his default attitude at odds with the reality surrounding him and is there anything that can change his heart and grim outlook?
Voice: Seren has a mid tone voice that can switch from regular and calm to irritated and annoyed in a second's span. Though when he's happy, his voice has a little bit of glee in it. This will be the voice style that is used most often during the story. Otherwise, he can be very blushy and nervous as he is a shut in who doesn't like dealing with other human beings regularly.
Lines:
A glad and cheerful voice: "Ah. So that's what you were so eager about."
A slight tone of surprise: "I thought you were home with me. What do you need?"
A slight tone of annoyance: "Damp isn't a proper adjective to describe my glorious dwelling, thank you very much."
A flustered and nervous tone: "I-I was just wondering why you're all wearing your school uniforms. It's summer vacation, isn't it?"

With an odd manner of speaking and a constant smile adorning her features, Liriti is often seen as somewhat of an odd girl. Because conversations with her usually entail odd topics that seem all the more weird due to her speech quirk, many people at the school have taken to avoiding her so not to fall into an awkward chat. Seren is one of the few that voluntarily talk to her when the chance presents itself. He's never turned her down when she comes to him and it's because of this that she's long considered him a friend.
Besides her off putting aura, Liriti loves writing poetry and staring out into the stars. She always goes for walks outside during night and she has a fondness for frogs and other critters that would make a common person's skin crawl.
Though she is always chipper and kind to others, Seren has the sneaking suspicion that there might be something eating away at her heart.
Voice: As stated above, Liriti has a bit of a speech quirk in the way she speaks. She tends to put odd stress on seemingly random words. Other than this, though, she nearly always has a joyous and happy tone in her voice as she speaks and the innocence of her character is apparent for all to hear. However, if she's ever in a more sullen mood, that cheer drops from her words and she shells up.
Lines:
Calling out to a running Seren: "Don't worry, Serena-I mean-Seren! It only wants to drink your blood!"
A bit of curiosity: "What? Why? Your name is so pretty."
Shocked: "So that's how you get the snacks from it!"
Saddened: "I don't understand. I don't understand any of this..."

Amalia Padma
Pronunciation: uh-mah-lee-uh | puhd-mah
Sex: Female
Height: 5'5”
Birthday: 20 January
Zodiac: Aquarius
Age: 17
Hair: Black
Eyes: Brown
Likes: Ghost hunting, fog, rabbits
Dislikes: Terrible creepy pastas, lame pranks, the feeling of dry hands

The adventurous, ghost story loving childhood friend of Seren. Amalia is a laid back person whom is regarded as one of the boys by most of the male students of the academy. Being tough as nails and even more courageous and daring than even the toughest of guys, she has gained a high level of respect among the student body. Though a draw back to her bold and boyish character is the fact that she has a bit of difficulty expressing herself to others. This has lead to some strange friction between her and Seren within recent years. Although the two have drifted apart ever so slightly, she makes it a goal to find a way to bring herself close to him once more, fearing that their lifelong bond is in jeopardy.
Voice: It goes without saying that Amalia has a much more boyish voice when speaking. She is somewhat gruff and terse with others as well as impatient. However, she has a softer side that seems to push through that rough barrier every once in a while. When she is excited to go on a hunt for the haunted, she is peppy and much more lively than all other times.
Lines:
Annoyed with a sharp and accusatory edge: "Where are you looking?"
Excited and gleeful: "I wonder if it's true. That'd mean that we have a ghost in the school! How cool is that?!"
Her usual, boyish tone: "If they're what floats your boat."
A much more soft and vulnerable voice: "I'm sorry. I didn't think that you would catch a cold."

Eleanor Kanapima
Pronunciation: eh-leh-nohr | kah-nah-pee-mah
Sex: Female
Height: 5'6”

Possessing both wisdom and beauty, Eleanor has unwittingly enamored many of the male students of her school, including Seren. Her grades are impeccable and close to the highest in Green Hill Academy and she is the leader of the library assistance guild. Despite the fact that she has such a high stance among her peers and students alike, she fails to carry any of the ego or pride that one would expect. She is open to all persons and will never turn down another in need of help, be it with studies or a hand around the school. Knowing her character, it isn't a stretch of the imagination to see why she's earned such a fond image among the boys of Green Hill.
On certain days she works a part time job at a local diner, trading off from being a waitress and cooking.
Voice: Eleanor has a very bright and feminine voice fitting of a model student. She is very soft spoken in all times but when she's working at the diner. It's then that you're in for a surprise! In the heat of the kitchen, she is fiery, commanding, and unreserved to shout. It's when she's in this state that she might just hurt that perfect and angelic image she's known for on campus.
Lines:
Her normal and feminine self: "If I'd had more time, I would have warned you about that door."
Fiery and commanding: "Get the anchors out of your pants and get these orders out already! We're running behind here!"
Relieved and caring: "I'm really glad you're alright. That door can become a weapon when it's busy. I'm sorry I didn't warn you well enough."
With a humorously awkward tone: "M-my, Seren, you really aren't lucky with doors, are you?"

Ariana Hesutu

The chipper and positive elder sister of Seren whom constantly dotes on him. She has an adoration for small, collectible figurines and glass blown artwork. She currently studies from her home in preparation for her admission into a prestigious university at the end of summer. Her worries for her brother are multiplied as she will be moving out of town at the end of the season.
Voice: Ariana is much older than the rest of the cast, being 21 years of age. She mostly has that older sister like tone when she speaks. Especially when she's talking with Seren. She dotes on Seren constantly so a good, caring tone is what's needed to fill her place. But she isn't always rainbows and sunshine. When she gets angry, she continues speaking as she always would, but there is a dangerous and intimidating cover cloaking her voice. Likewise, she can also be quite mischievous and silly.
Lines:
In a sisterly, yet mischievous voice: "But you're my sweet and kind little brother!"
Excited: Finally! The ensemble is one step closer to completion!"
With that calm and burning fury: "My, Seren, whatever could you be doing?"
In her regular voice: "You've got to promise that you'll try it out for one day, okay?"

First Chapter

As far as writing goes, there's a bit more than this finished and I have most of the plot already figured out. It's the journey of writing the story that will be the difficulty for me. I'll be uploading chapters to Wattpad in a novel version of the story for people to enjoy and read while the project is being worked on. The visual novel version of the story will be much different including a wide selection of choices to get into the scene. This game is planned to be a bit more heavy on decisions than most visual novels. It'll have a wide array of fun situations to be chosen.

Position Details
Sprite Artist No longer accepting applicants
As the sprite artist for the project; we'll work together to make a fitting image for the characters in the story. For now the amount of work will be for the protagonist, the three main heroines and the MC's sister, but I plan to expand on this a little bit as the project advances. A bit of good news: I've almost mastered drawing the elusive stick figure.

CG Artist No longer accepting applicants
As I progress with writing the story, I'll have a few scenes every once in a while that I'll look to have a CG drawn for, however, I'll be open and more than happy to hear what you'd like to make into a CG. I want this project to be fun for all involved and the more minds which contribute, the better the story can be and the more character it will have!

Background Artist No longer accepting applicants
Although the story takes place in the school library, it has many other settings alongside it since the Chess and Literary Club's activities are not set in stone. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) There will be a few variations for time of day.

Musician No longer accepting applicants
As much as I love listening to music and wish I could compose some tracks myself, I'd like to spare humanity from the apocalypse. I would love to be able to make original music for Seren and his friends to go about their shenanigans in style! I'm completely ignorant of musical notation and mostly all vocabulary for the art, so I'll simply give a general feel that I'm looking for and we'll work together to see what we can cook up.

Voice Acting
I've always been fond of those small voiced clips for the characters that are used to portray all the different emotions of the human spirit. Nameen? ...You don't? Well, for an example it's the kind of voice acting in Fire Emblem Awakening. ...Oh... You knew what I was talking about? Sorry for mishearing you! I need to get these ears checked. I'm completely tone deaf and I probably couldn't do any voice acting if my life depended on it.
Anyways, you'll read a few dozen lines of different emotional influence and they'll be used throughout the game whenever the given character speaks. But alongside this there will be fully voiced lines for important scenes in the story. For this position, I want to be able to gain your help, knowing that we can be partners for when the time comes. The actual voice recording and implementation won't be until much later when there's more of the story finished. For now I'd like to hear your examples and if possible, a very brief example of how you'd voice the character using the lines given above or maybe even something thought up on the fly in line with the character's personality.

As of now I'm simply looking for members to join the project as teammates. This project will start out somewhat slow and it'll most likely be something that spans more than two years of work.
