Searching for a dedicated background artist

Hi, I'm looking for a dedicated background artist to work on a project.

Basically it's a 100% free fan game based on the Pokémon game universe featuring its characters in a school environment.

I'm already commissioning a character artist and I am looking for at least one dedicated background artist.

Sprites are usually take up around 450x850 to 500x1000 pixels and the game resolution is 1920x1080. As a result, I technically don't need backgrounds any larger than 1920x1080.

So for backgrounds, what I need right now are:

Setting 01: Residential Hall (dormitory)
- 1x lobby (check-in area)
- 1x lounge/cafe area
- 3x hallway variants
- 1x male room
- 1x female room
- 1x auditorium

Setting 02: School
- 2x classroom variants
- 2x hallway variants
- 1x gym
- 1x cafeteria
- 1x library

These will not be the only backgrounds I will need, but are ones that are guaranteed to be used.

I am hoping to be able to work with an artist over a long period of time for the reason stated above. I will at some point be tacking on additional background requests. For the sake of having a consistent art style, I would rather not switch artists.

Who doesn't do things for free (and shouldn't, good for him.)
If you're not looking to pay the artist it's probably a good idea to lower your quality expectations a little bit...

Reading this and seeing it's posted in the "we are offering Paid Work" section, I'm pretty sure Jae intends to pay his artists.

Hm, that is a good point. But wouldn't he be contradicting himself if what you said were true?

Hmm, not really, I suppose? By "100% free", I think he simply means that the game will be released for free, not that he's not paying to have the game made.
