Hi peeps, we are looking for a someone to do the score and background music for our game. See link above.

We are looking for orchestra music of the more laid-back variety. About 3-5 tracks depending on need and budget. Tracks should be about 1:30-2:00 minutes long.

If you could link to your portfolio or drop me a note that would be awesome. Please include a ball-park of what your rates would be as well. I am open to negotiation.

Thank you for your interest!
Kay-

Hello,

I am a composer interested in working together. I am a classically trained musician, play several instruments and have a quick turn around rate. My most recent project was with Writer and Director: Ryan Lacen and Director: Anthony Baldino on the feature film "The Dust Storm;" featuring Colin O’Donoghue (Once Upon A Time), Jim O’Heir (Parks and Recreation) and Kristen Gutoskie. Though I’ve dealt primarily with film scores, I would love to work with a gaming company that understands the importance of musical accompaniment in their projects.

I have played in several orchestras, bands, and arrangements, from classical to hardcore-rock and roll, and have acquired a wide understanding (of music) through performing in different genres and styles. Most of my compositions revolve around a classic instrumentation with modern flares but I'm always open to experimental ideas. My musical influences would be composers such as: Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Yann Tiersen and Philip Glass. If you'd be interested in listening to my previous works, please feel free to visit my SoundCloud as well as personal website, listed below. I would love to talk more. Hope to hear from you soon, and best of luck on all endeavors.

Best,
Nik Geerken

Sign me up for the audition!

I've done a little visual novel work in the past (http://gamejolt.com/games/game-test-life/32149, and specialize in orchestral music.

Here's my demo reel for your perusal:

... but rather than have you work your way through all the genres, if you give a little more information about the kind of tone you want to set for your game, I'll whip up a soundcloud playlist of my tracks that I think would work well.

My price is very high (~$350 per minute of finished 'fauxrchestra' music), but I often work for less given the right negotiations (ie, what kind of budget is the team on, how are other team members being paid, what kind of monetization is going on, etc). On that linked game above ("Game Test Life"), I think I ended up at about $50 a minute, for example. Send me a PM if you want more info, and one way or the other, good luck on the project!
