Heya!

I’m looking to hire someone to create a custom soundtrack for a commercial VN project.

I’m in need of a soundtrack that is around 30 minutes in total. I’m planning on having nine tracks with some being a little more and some being a little less than three minutes long. Though I’m also open to the idea of having ten or more songs that are all shorter than three minutes. All of the tracks will need to loop cleanly.

I’d also like complete rights to the songs with the freedom to give the soundtrack away, reuse the songs in other projects, and so on. If you’re fine with that in general but there’s something specific you wouldn’t want to allow feel free to get in touch and we can talk about having it be excluded from the given rights.

Payment will be sent through Paypal in a few payments at different stages of completion. When applying please send a price estimate for your services and at what points you’d prefer the payments be sent.

The tone of the tracks will range from relaxed/low key to dramatic/exciting and in-between. Please provide at least three song samples when applying. The game’s setting is an adventure in a fantasy steampunk world. I’d appreciate it if you select samples that you think best match the setting described.

If you’d like this position you’ll need to be free enough to get started immediately and keep in touch at least once per week. We can keep in touch through PMs, emails, or Skype.

As for details about the project, it’s called A Foretold Affair. There isn’t a thread or dev blog yet since I still need a few more assets to make it presentable. However, here’s a look at a mockup screenshot for an idea of the game’s style;

A very basic premise is that the main character, Buffalo Seer (gender chosen by player), uses their magic ability to look into their own future and finds that some years down the road they are going to be married to someone they haven’t met yet. After this revelation Seer abandons the life they had in order to search for the person they saw in the vision. Seer does, of course, meet their future spouse but finds that the road to the future they saw isn't going to be a simple one.

The genre is; Adventure, friendship, comedy, drama, romance-ish, with a couple serious themes

Progress is around 20% overall and the game should be nearly or entirely finished by the end of the year.
