[Edit: Post removed; roles have been filled].
Thank you to everyone that applied! I received many excellent submissions but unfortunately, can only afford to proceed with two writers at this time. Both roles have now been filled. Thanks, again.

Hey,
while your recruitment post is quite extensive, it is a little short on the actual plot details. "Fantasy romance" is a setting, not a theme, so any prospective writer would be wondering what exactly is expected of him in terms of plot.
Also, you say nothing on how much work on the project has already been completed - this is a necessary requirement for a recruitment thread.
Finally, it sounds as though you are trying to redirect communication to a non-public channel (e-mail). Again, this is in violation of forum rules.
Please make the necessary changes to your post.

Excuse me, but this is below minimum pay.
You said that you were willing to pay $1375 for 55K words, or $0.025 per word.
Granted the average writing speed of an average scripter is 500 words/hour or 8.3 words/minute, this boils down to $12.5/hour. The current minimum wage in New York, where I live, is $15 per hour. Now you can always make the argument that the average minimum wage in the United states is less than $8 and this is indeed a remote position, but a crew member position at McDonalds pays about $8.5 and a manager position pays about $10.5.
The prices you offer are not exactly reflective of the amount of work, discipline, and honor a true writer would put into their craft as no experienced writer would want to be paid just $2-$4 an hour more than your average McDonalds employee. Being lemmasoft, I understand if some might still be interested in working for said price and I will not judge their choices, but please take note that you should think twice about your prices if you would like to see more quality work coming your way. Some of my colleagues would even go far as to be modestly offended at your offer, but.. I'll stop here.
P.S.: You said that you were a 'game industry veteran' who held 'project manager positions' at EA, Kabam, and Glu Mobile. Given the diversity and specificity of the multitude of positions involved in these companies, I'd appreciate it if you could elucidate on your roles on some projects you have participated in the beforementioned companies. (_ _)

Re: Seeking Writers for Romance Visual Novels in Fantasy Gen
So basically, you want writers to come up with completely original romance ideas for a game they get no royalties off of. Why shouldn't they just make they're own stuff and sell it them selves?
And you mentioned 17+. Are these porn games? If so, there is a pretty big issue with mobile porting. And making sure you hire people of proper ages. Have you seen the general age demographic on this site?
Segway, why are you on this site if you have connections with EA, Glu, etc? I'm sure you have better places to find pro writers. We're kinda all rookies over here with the very small exception, but those people make there own games.
No offence bro, this kinda shady. =/
