June is forced to spend the summer working at her father’s quaint country café, far away from her urban home in New York City. Will romance spark with the dutiful barista or friendship form with the bubbly cashier? Or perhaps she’ll mend the strained relationship between her and her quirky father. One thing is certain: with each passing day, June is finding herself more and more charmed by the intoxicating mystique of the Southern town and its residents.
Corona Borealis is a heartwarming story that shows the lasting effects our lives are capable of having on others, as well as their effects on us. Rather than just providing the player with romance options, it aims to explore the depths of non-romantic relationships, too.
Audition Information:
The game will include reaction noises throughout and full voice over during the ending and epilogue scenes. Payment is $50 USD for what I expect will be about 30 minutes of recording. If cast, you’ll need to be available to record while being directed over Skype. The session will take place sometime in early 2017.
The script is complete, but there may be some minor dialogue changes later on. If so, you’ll need to be available for pick-ups. Additional payment for pickups will be $10 USD.
Recording Information:
- Record tracks as .mp3 or .wav files. Be sure to remove any puffs, clicks, and background noise.
- Place all lines for the character in one audio file with no more than three takes for each line. Name the file CharacterName_YourName (ie. Lacey_AllisonHarris)
- Email your audition to corona.borealis.vn@gmail.com on or before January 15.
