We are seeking an artist to do an effects pass on a nearly finished Ren'Py game, entitled Golem Creation Kit. This includes using good judgement and an artistic eye to create exciting, appropriate and satisfying UDDs for polish and visual feedback, including particle effects. All methods are welcome provided they're performant, visually consistent with the game's unique style, and non-disruptive to the original code base.
Here are some views of the game:

The successful applicant will be provided with a list of target scenes/actions that need to be punched up. He or she should also be able to identify any other areas that are in need of more visual feedback.
This is a paid position, compensation to be negotiated.
To apply, send a PM here or an email to ryan@golemcreationkit.com

Hi could you clarify a little bit. Are you looking for a programmer? Or an artist and someone else will program? Do you also have examples on what kind of effects these are?

We're looking for an artist and programmer in one person, or an artist/programmer team with experience.csky wrote:Hi could you clarify a little bit. Are you looking for a programmer? Or an artist and someone else will program? Do you also have examples on what kind of effects these are?
The task is to create juicy visual feedback to make the game feel satisfying, such as sparks/sparkles, flashes, dust trails, and more. Here are some examples of games with good visual feedback:
