Hello! Pixels and Pins Studio is a small digital atelier focused on the creation of narrative games and audio/visual productions. Previous projects include the audio drama Ollie and Molly and the visual novel Amaranth.
The D (Stands for Demon) is a comedic urban fantasy visual novel/otome about the exploits of Stella, an editor for a romance novel publisher, and Rose, the ancient otherworldly being that shares her body with her. Check out the WIP thread. It has an overall upbeat and cheerful tone, but speaks on the topics of sexuality, gender, self identity, xenophobia, and family drama with a light touch. Though the game contains slightly coarse language and mild adult content, the actual performed lines do not.
A free demo of the game is available. The final game will be released as a "pay what you want" product upon completion.
The game will contain partial voice acting. The characters being cast below will be expected to perform 5 short lines of dialogue and 10-12 vocalizations that will be scattered through the game for mood. Actors will be live directed via Skype, Discord, Google hangouts etc. when recording to make sure we nail that performance together!
Audition lines and additional information available in this document.
