Hi! We're looking for a 2D CHARACTER ARTIST for an Otome visual novel time travel story set in Upstate New York, present day and Revolutionary War era. Our main character designs are complete. We need someone to develop 5-6 secondary characters in a complementary style (does not need to exactly match.)

See game art and music here: https://www.karenstewart.me/job-call

Designs need to be half-body (thigh-length), and are single costume, single pose. Designs may include multiple expressions, depending on artist rates. Reference images, especially for historical clothing, will be provided.

We prefer receiving layered Photoshop or Illustrator files for finished work.

This project is funded by a university creative projects grant, so the artist will be paid via the SUNY Oneonta college grants office. To be eligible for payment, the artist must have a U.S. EIN number or U.S. Social Security number to submit with department paperwork. Drawings must be completed, and digital files submitted to game developer, by March 1, 2021 (last day to process an invoice for grant payment.)

If the artist and developer work well together, the artist will be considered for additional illustrations.

For questions or to apply send email to:
Karen Stewart at BlackbirdVortex@gmail.com

Please include sample character illustrations and rates. Thank you!

So this means you're only looking for artist from the United States?

Not the OP, but one doesn't have to be from the United States to have a U.S. EIN number. Anyone who is incorporated as a business in any country can get one, although it is a fairly complicated process.

Thanks for clarifying! :)

Apologies - missed your question. MGO is correct. The EIN allows for people outside the US or anyone without a US Social Security number to apply.
