Previous Projects

• Ladykiller in a Bind (2016)
  I created several pieces of environment art needed to complete the project.
• The Royal Trap (2015)
  I made all the backgrounds for the HD release. The version prior to this contains different backgrounds which we not by me.
• The Human Reignition Project (2015)
  I was brought on as a temporary BG artist to make some backgrounds needed for the Kickstarter demo.

Pricing & Payment
I charge $250 USD per background. This is a base price and may vary depending on the complexity of the request. The background will be of a high quality and detailed, like those pictured above. Unless otherwise specified it will be a 1920 x 1080 pixel image. You'll receive a lossless PNG master file for editing and a JPEG for use in game.

Payment is made for each background individually. The first background must be paid for upfront before I will begin the commission, though subsequent backgrounds can be paid for on delivery. I send invoices via PayPal requesting payment in USD.


What I Need
These are the things I need to give a quote, determine my availability, or carry out a commission. I will not quote, speculate on availability, or take on projects without these things so please include them!

• A simple list of every background you want, including any special needs a given BG has. Any new BGs introduced part-way through the commission will be considered a separate commission.
• A short summary of the project including its name, setting, genre and basic plot.
• Any reference material you want me to use. (Please organise it in a single zipped folder and keep it reasonably sized.)
• The email address you would like invoices sent to.

You make me wish I had enormous amount of money to dedicate to having my backgrounds done. Unfortunately that's not the case but if that ever becomes the case, I would really love to work with someone with your talent.

Thank you! I want to keep my prices within reach of smaller devs, though it's difficult finding a price that works for me and for devs.

I believe I like your work so much, that once I have assembled the rest of my team (minus composer) I will ask for your services. However, as I hope you will understand, I will not ask for work that I pay you for until I have amassed funds through Kickstarter or something like that. If I wish to be able to pay you, I need moneys for that

I've had a lot of inquiries but nothing is set in stone yet so get in touch if you're interested

Also, a few people have asked about packs or bundles with reduced pricing. I don't do them because I charge the average of all backgrounds per background which often works out to less than the listed base price, as I usually reduce said base price rather than increase it. Here's an example:

• Literally Empty Corridor #1 — $135 USD
• Literally Empty Corridor #2 — $135 USD
• Detailed BG #1 (as in OP) — $175 USD
• Detailed BG #2 — $175 USD

So for this hypothetical 4 BG commission the average BG cost is $155 USD. As you can see this method of charging requires a list of BGs (preferably with better descriptions, unlike in my example). I know from experience that an empty corridor is easier to make than a detailed room and thus charge accordingly. Further, if a variation is trivial to do sometimes I just won't charge for it at all. It depends.
