I love your politics and the diversity of your sprites in terms of shape/race/age...that is awesome and I wish you lots of success in commissioning!

Sadly, I'm not looking for an anime style, but if I we're, I'd commission you!

Thanks! I'm planning on making a few sections below the basic sprite pricing to show off various aspects of my art (one showing off face/body diversity, one for non-human characters, and one for different art styles I use) though I haven't finished it yet. One of the other styles I use is non-anime, but I feel like I need to establish it a bit more before I start taking commissions for it. Here are some examples of that style:

Still needs refining, but I'm hoping to practice until I get it at a reliable point. (Right now I can only work off of photographs, and I would like to have more flexibility than that.) :)

Okay! Added one of my planned sections, featuring diverse characters. Also fixed up a banner with my username for the top. :)

Added pricing for CGs, including examples of background detail level to make it easier for folks to gauge prices. Also added the preliminary section with CG examples-- only one for now, but I will be adding more after I touch them up.

Hi,

I'd just like to inform you that I am really disappointed with how you presented your thread. Particularly because you're using someone else's work and passing them as though you made them. Nevermind the fact the you've said these are not your work (which is noted only in a very small portion of the post), but it's common sense to assume any example art posted in threads like this are original art by the poster. I'm shocked when I found familiar artwork in your examples. You're basically telling people you are capable of something you are not (in case you can, post your own art as examples). I'm confused why you even think this is a good idea.

Sorry if this sounds confrontational but I commission people in this forum from time to time and it's just disappointing to see someone do this, especially because you are charging money for your supposed art. In any case, please take them down and only post artwork you've made yourself.

Respectfully,
sniper

Yeah, in the same vain as Sniper said, it's strange to use examples of other people's work as an idea of what you can do when you're not providing said example from your own body of work.
It doesn't give us an idea of what you're capable of and instead makes us 'believe' what you're saying instead of 'witness' what you're saying.
I was confused to see the foot notes on a lot of these pictures. It gives the reader an unfavorable idea of what you're saying, unfortunately, and I think it would be better to not offer a thing unless you have done the thing instead.
Maybe for now, just use examples of the portraits that you've done. And if you'd like to offer other such work, then maybe spend the weekend and do some test shots to get your own examples~

I apologize, I've made a pretty terrible mistake.

I'd seen people provide links to other work as examples of various levels of detail (not to show off what they could do, but as a generalization for estimating level of detail.) I was overly excited about tailoring my commission page after so many years of offering free work.

Though I took steps to make sure the thumbnails were not mistaken for mine (used popular images for guidelines, sourced and linked to original content, italicized statement after each one stating they did not belong to me), you are absolutely correct. People do not always read for details when they are browsing an artist's thread-- because the art itself is on display, loud and clear.

I have removed the thumbnails. Regardless of my intentions, they misrepresent both my and others work. I will close down CG/logo commissions until I am able to replace them with full sized backgrounds of my own creation.
