I am a freelance illustrator and graphic designer seeking a fun visual novel project to join. Examples of my work can be seen attached and additionally at my tumblr and personal portfolio website. One thing you will notice is my portfolio of work is small and stretched out over the years. I am in dire need to change that and hopefully focusing on a project will help! I work primarily in Photoshop, Manga Studio and Illustrator. Because I have no experience with working with games before and I am wanting to learn a lot for my own future game, as well as expand my portfolio, I am offering my services for free or trade but with certain restrictions to ensure both your group and I get the most out of this experience. Below I'll explain more.

What I can offer, with confidence, to the group:
+ A none-anime art style
+ concept art of characters, creatures, items and environments
+ sprite character art - line art or colored

What I would like to try my hand at:
+ full screen illustrations - backgrounds and/or character focused cgs
+ gui design
+ logo design with games in mind

What I am looking for in a group:
+ understanding of my time - this is just a hobby project for me and I will have other art related projects for paying clients that come first. That does not mean I will not take this project seriously. In fact-
+ I prefer a set schedule laid out. I do want to see us succeed in our goals, so set dates on certain items being completed and an overall, realistic release date set.
+ Great communication. I prefer using skype messenger, not really keen on actual phone calls due to me and my boyfriends desks being so close together. You don't want to hear his goofy laughter and I don't want to hear him bugging me about who I'm talking to. Again, on keeping a schedule, if we can get set times to chat and update each other on our progress it would really work out well.
+ A great team mentality and consideration of my opinions when it comes to art direction.

What I look for in a project:
+ Small scale would probably be best for me since this is my first time working on games. I would also prefer it to be a new project, as jumping into a series would make me feel lost.
+ I am interested in drawing for scifi, fantasy, or urban fantasy settings. Monsters, aliens and fantastical creatures! Robots and armor! A diverse cast of races, gender identities and sexualities.
- I'm not ok with lolis, extreme gore, +18, or furries. I am honestly bored with games in a school setting.

Looking for trade of services:
Alternatively, I have a list of items I would like to see in a game and I am considering starting my own project based around them. If you are a writer interested in helping flesh out characters, settings, and plot points. (pretty much everything is needed right now) I am willing to offer my art skills in trade. The idea I have in mind is a scifi space setting based around a diverse group of Mech pilots and alien life. I would like to see it have dating sim and rpg elements to it and I would like the idea of the user interface having relevance to the game story. Right now I have focused on the look and tone of the setting and some concept art. My goal is to have the concept art and story idea meshed well enough to present and hopefully start my own project group with. Obviously this isn't much to start with, so if it sounds interesting and like something you would want to tackle, let's negotiate! Below there is a character concept art related to the project.

hi, would you be interested in the 'Unknowns Saga vol 3: Physical cosmology". i need someone to build worlds from many dimensions as well as our world and GUI design to fit it all in. i understand your time since i also work for a job, there is a schedule but since i mostly release my novels on a holiday we have 2 months until an official holiday arrive (father and monsters day dont count for me). on communtactions, i can use skype, google hangout or pm so there is no problem.

im really good at writing characters background, their settings and the crisis of the story. the story of my novel is already set in motion, you can read it here: http://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/ ... cosmology/

p.s i didn't put it in LSF because people don't read the WIP section.

Hi Firecat! Thanks for taking an interest in what I have to offer! However, I don't believe I am right for your project. I'm looking to join a team on a game from start to finish, and it seems your storyline is quite a ways in. I'm going to edit my original post so nobody gets else gets confused. Sorry!
