I can't see how anyone could seriously disagree with my statement about VN artists generally favoring female characters, the evidence is all over the place. A talented artist should be good at both genders, not just one or the other; if you can only draw one gender competently, you have loads of room for improvement. If you choose to only draw one gender just because that's the gender you like, that reaaally limits your capabilities and appeal.Josie wrote:This, I disagree with you. And also, people draw what they want and like. There are tons of great artists who draw mainly men out there you just need to find them. Actually there are plenty on the forum.Facelord wrote: Makes me glad to see art of male characters, too few artists these days put any effort into their men. It's always women-women-women, even though half the people on Earth are men. Big pet peeve of mine.
I try to pay attention to art forums, not just here, keeping an eye out for artists who are skilled at portraying both genders. It's surprisingly uncommon. I shouldn't have to rely on two artists who handle the two genders separately with different styles and quality levels, that couldn't possibly end well.
Anyways, this argument isn't relevant to the thread. My comment still stands - DeadBunny is good at male and female characters, and that's a necessary trait that puts her above many artists out there.
