Holy c*** that's some pretty stunning GUI.konett wrote:Haha, no. It's a project that I wanted to take place in a book and then be more of a character building game with rpg elements. Here are some mockups I made for it: [x]wifom wrote:You mentioned working on a little red riding hood project. It wouldn't be with Andy Gahan, would it? Cause that would be a big coincidence haha

@ wifom, Rinima; Thank you guys so much! So far it's been one of my favorite projects to work on visual design-wise, so it means a lot that other people enjoy the look of it.

"A percentage fee will be added for commercial projects."
What does that mean? If a game's released commercially, you take full payment plus a certain percentage of the game's profits? That's a little odd. My project is totally self-funded(off $10/hour full-time work after paying bills), and all the proceeds from the game would go toward the sequel, so I'd be very hesitant to pay full for your sprites and also give you a chunk of the game's profits. I'm interested in your work, but that puts me off a bit.

Thanks for the support everyone!
That is not what that means. The prices listed in the thread are prices for non-commercial games. The percentage fee is added to that price for commercial projects. If you commission me for a commercial project, and the amount comes down 100 dollars, a fee depending on the project and work itself will be added, ie %20, so the price of the commission will be 120. I will not touch the profits of you game. I also don't often accept commissions with royalty substitution offers.Facelord wrote:"A percentage fee will be added for commercial projects."

Re: ■ Artist: Sprites, CGs, BGs, GUI, Misc.
That seems reasonable enough. Not really sure why artists charge more for commercial products, though; some legal reason I'm not aware of? Legitimately curious here.
And is 20% your increased price for commercial products, or was that just an example number? Sorry if I'm asking too much - I'm funding my projects off a full-time $10/hour job while paying bills and doing most of the development myself, so I'm a little price-conscious. I'm heavily considering putting you at the top of my shortlist based on what I see here, I just wanna have all the numbers before I make any decisions.
