Hello folks! I'm amade, a freelance illustrator. Been stalking the Ren'py forums/discord for a couple years now but only recently decided to advertise my services here.

Apart from my ability to draw stuff, the following are a few reasons why you might want to hire me:

Regular updates (Work-in-Progress deliveries) for review
Ability to take criticism and apply them for revisions

Compensation:
Drawing is something I do for a living, so all I ask is fair compensation. An acceptable arbitrary yardstick for me is to use the average minimum wage/hr in the US, though I won't actually be charging per hour; if you give me an outline of your requirements and I'll give you my estimate on how long it will take and how much it will cost and you can decide if it's worth it. Also worth noting, I like to think that an artist should be able to earn better than minimum wage. We are skilled workers after all. I'm not asking for top tier rates, I just want to be able to make a decent living out of my passion for art, so I thank you for kind understanding.

The following are just some ballpark figures for various types of artwork, actual quoted price may differ depending on the requirements:

Full illustration (e.g. for covers, front pages, menu screen, etc)
80 USD
Character sprite (half body)
40 USD, additional 5~10 USD per variation
Background
60 USD, additional 15~30 USD per variation
Icon
5~15 USD

The list above is not exhaustive, feel free to ask about anything that is not listed. The expected level of quality directly affects the amount of time and effort needed to complete the work and therefore affects the price. You can ask for a lower price if you're willing to lower quality requirements. In other words, simpler things cost less. Certain styles are easier than others and can be cheaper without sacrificing quality. Image resolution also affect pricing to a limited degree, so smaller images may cost less but after a certain point it doesn't matter much. If any job requirement would result in considerably more time and effort than usual, thus incurring additional costs, I will forewarn you so that you may consider if it's worth it.

Note: Artwork/assets for games for commercial purposes will incur higher rates. I am not interested in revshare unless the game already has considerable marketing done for it and commercial release (including paid early access) is no more than 6 months away.

I can only accept payment via PayPal. As a rule, if we're working together for the first few times I will ask for partial payment in advance. Repeat clients are exempt from this condition and I usually will only invoice you for the full amount after the work is completed. If you're hesitant to commit, we can start off with small low paying tasks first to gauge my skill and to better understand one another.
