Writer, Editor, and/or Proofreader -CLOSED-

#1 Post by mollycubed »

I'm relatively new to this community, but want to get started and learn how things work.

I've never made a VN, but I've been reading, writing, and editing for almost my whole life. I'm very creative when it comes to writing, and methodical and precise when it comes to editing and proof reading.

I'm open to writing any type of material, as well as adult.

I offer this to you for free! I just want to get my foot in the door and build some connections.

PM me!

Well...I honestly don't have any work yet. In this field anyway. All of my work is personal and this is my first attempt to go public with any of my writing.
I know that doesn't give me much to work on, but I'm malleable and can adapt to almost any style.

Don't disregard me because I don't have any work D:

All your previous works are too personal put up? Any sample would be helpful I'd think.
Or make an example now that you feel comfortable sharing, while you wait.

Okay! Here it is!

The Question

I had followed her into their home. I had been there many times already, without her being there, and knew the layout of the home. I knew where the closets were, where I had hidden before, and I knew the creaking noise the front door made and how to silence it.
Will you do it?
She had gone upstairs. The shower began running. She had just gotten back from the gym.
I crept up the stairs, stepping only on the sides, knowing the noise each step made if stepped on in the center. Over six years, I had learned everything about this house.
My feet hit the landing, and I stopped. The shower was still running. She was singing.
Over the past ten years, my life had been ruined. I lost my job, my home, and any semblance of a life. It doesn't matter why, I ended up on the streets just the same. My choices were slim, and I had to make the choice no woman ever wants to make. To sell herself.
I endured. I endured abuse. I endured feelings of worthlessness. I endured sleeping against the side of a building and waking up being assaulted. I endured.
The singing continued. I was enjoying it, for some reason.
Her husband picked me up one day. He paid well and was courteous. Didn't ask me to do anything crazy. For him, I would have though.
He kept coming. Every night. We stopped going to hotels. He brought me to his home.
My story fascinated him. He held my hand in his when I told him of the split lips and broken ribs. He laughed when I told him of strange requests. He nodded quietly when I told him of the sad stories of frequent customers. He didn't disregard me as street trash. He understood, as much as one can.
He eventually rented an apartment for me, near his office. He gave me the cash monthly to pay the rent, plus additional money for food, clothes, and whatever else I needed. He refused to let me continue working.

All good things must come to an end. About a year ago, his wife started noticing the large monthly cash withdrawals. He continued to pay for me to live anyway. He told me that she asked him daily about hit. He revealed nothing. Always a new excuse.
A few months later, a quiet evening in my apartment was interrupted by urgent knocking. I let him in immediately. I never had any other visitors. No one knew me. I liked it that way.
He sat down on the couch and put his face in his hands. Having a wife and a mistress was taking its toll on him. The bags under his eyes were a darker shade today. Every day, darker.
“She wont stop asking me about it. Unless I figure something out, she's going to divorce me.”
I sat in silence. I knew the severity of the situation.
“She would get half of my assets. And custody of the kids. And the house.”
I nodded.
“I don't know what to do.”
My life was finally okay. I had a place to live. Food to eat. I wasn't being abused or in constant fear of catching some disease. I was not about to let this slip through my fingers. I had been pushed around by the world around me for too long.
“I'll kill her.”
His head jerked up.
“What?”
“You wont lose anything. I wont lose anything. Everything will be fine.”
He sat in silence.
“You can't do it,” I continued. “The husband is the first person they go to. As long as you have covered your tracks the way you say you have, I wont be found.”
He nodded slightly.
“You'll have to stay away from me for a while. I'll need money to live for at least six months until this blows over.”
“How will you do it?” He asked.
“I don't know yet. I'll figure it out. I'll make it look like something else.”
He nodded again.
“Will you do it?”
I didn't miss a beat.
“Yes.”

Here I was. Two months after that conversation. I stood with my back against the wall, peering into the bedroom. The shower had stopped running. My hands were sweating uncomfortably in the latex gloves. The knife in my hand had been sharpened that morning. I didn't want her to suffer. I didn't even know her.
But I wasn't going to let her get in the way of a life I deserved.
She shuffled out of the bathroom in blue slippers, a towel wrapped around her head, and another wrapped around her body and tucked near her armpit to hold it up. She took off the towel and threw it on the bed. She began applying lotion to her body.
Time had been fairly kind to her. Her breasts had held up well, despite how large they were. The stretch marks on them were some how not repelling. They made them real. Her hips were slender, as were her thighs. The time she spent at the gym had not been a waste.
Well. Not anymore.
She faced the other way. Her ass was still shapely. Good for her.
In one motion, I lunged forward, grabbed her by the hair, that smelled strongly of coconuts, brought the blade to her throat, and sliced.
I stepped back to avoid getting dirty.
She staggered to the bed, losing blood on the beige comforter. Her body slowly relaxed and she crumpled to the floor.
I opened her jewelry box and stuffed a few rings into my pocked, then threw it across the room. I crept back down the stairs, dragging my bloodied hand down the railing. I exited through the front door, leaving it open behind me. No one was outside.
I found my way to the backyard. Using a large rock, I bashed the handle of the Arcadia door in, and flung it open.
I did it.
