Hello, everyone. It has been a while since I have been offering services instead of hiring people. I guess that's what happens when you get caught up in making your own project. Oh well. However, I have taken a full break from that drama, and I'm ready to get back to my passion.
Why me? What can I bring to the table?
I think the thing I can bring most is enthusiasm. I am a team player. I ask many questions to ensure what I create is what you want. I've been told I don't walk - I bounce. Boing, boing, boing. With my optimism, I can keep a team going as more than a dedicated writer but as a cheerleader.
Beyond that, I am (as already stated) passionate about writing and love it above all other activities. As a result of this, I am very researched in the craft. I have countless books on all types of writing, from basic learning to the more specific and advanced. So you see, if you put me on your team, I will not only work hard to write what you want and do my best, but I will also be spending time buying and reading books on how to work in the genre you want, the voice you are going for, or anything else that I think learning more about would help improve what I turn in for your game.
Samples
Ok, that all sounds great, but there's a much bigger question here. How good is your writing? Yes, I suppose that is important, and as such, I have made a folder of basic samples that show what I would call an outline of my abilities.

However, I do not expect that to sell you alone. I make a habit of before taking on any job writing the possible employer a customized sample of up to 500 words. This way, I can show whoever is interested a more zeroed-in view of what I would be sending them for their particular project. I find this invaluable to both of us, as it saves both of us a lot of time in seeing if I am right or wrong for the project. Also...I just think it is a nice thing to do.
Rates
So you're thinking about it. You may want me. You may not. Either way, if you've been here this long, you are at least curious as to what this cute nutcase charges.
For a free-too-play project - Nothing! While I would prefer to be paid a smidgen of what both of us could agree is fair, I am totally ok with being unpaid for a project that will not be making a profit and is letting happy players download for free.
For a commercial project - I do not work for free on commercial projects. If you are making a profit, I expect compensation of some kind. Perhaps a trade could be in order, but money is preferable. I am always willing to haggle, but I'd think somewhere between $0.02-$0.05 per word is a fair range and my personal suggestion.
