Writer Looking for Work (Paid Only)

With Queen at Arms coming to a close I find myself again needing to find work in my field. I'm an experienced writer, having head written for several visual novel projects besides the 20+ years of experience in general writing. You can check out the demo for Queen at Arms for the most recent example of my writing. I wrote about 80% of the demo, and was the head writer for the Aqualuft team. I can write any genre presented to me, and I excel at writing dialogue trees and world building. I also write in ren'py and have basic knowledge of the coding. I can also edit my own work, though I prefer not to, and it takes me much longer to put work out if self-editing is necessary.

I'm not looking for another head writing position (though I may take one if offered) and my fees are negotiable depending on your budget. I usually prefer industry standard. (On average $40-50/hr or 20¢-25¢/word.) I also offer ghost writing services for industry standard ($50-60/hr or 26¢-50¢/word.) However, if you can't afford those rates, I can and have taken way lower with the understanding that I will not be able to make that project a priority over other jobs I will need to take to make up the difference.

I will work for trade under very rare circumstances, and I do not work for exposure. If you have a kickstarter or patreon that can promise me payment in the future I am willing to negotiate terms. I will only work if you are willing to sign a contract with me (notarized is preferred.) I can provide the contract myself if need be. Skype is my preferred means of contact and I will want to talk with you before agreeing to work on your project.

I negotiated waaay down with them because they had a small budget and offered me royalties. The rate in the post is just the industry standard, which is what I'd be making if I worked for a bigger company. I'm well aware not many indie devs can pay it. (I do value my work to be worth industry standard which is why I went with those rates.) Don't be afraid to approach me if you can only afford to pay me 1-5¢ a word, or even if you can only give me a flat rate each month. If the project is good, I'm very flexible in the payment arena.
