[Booked] The Ren'Py Samurai - GUI Development & Much More (Pricing Included in Post)

#1 Post by SypherZent » Mon Nov 12, 2018 8:49 pm

Currently, I have too much work to take additional clients.
I'll edit this post again once I'm available.

Hello! Over the last 2 years I have mastered Ren'Py as a game engine.
References of my work can be found near the end of this post.

GUI is a main portion of Visual Novels, so most of your game's code could be done within weeks!
I also do complex mechanics, such as 2D games, 2.5D isometric games, and more! See Extra Options section.

Note: Pricing varies based on the complexity of the screens.
For an exact quote, you may provide mockup images of how the final screens should look.

Pricing (All prices in USD):

Main Menu - From $10 - $20
Chapter Selection - From $15 - $25
CG Gallery - From $15 - $30 (next/prev buttons possible)
Music Gallery - From $15 - $30 (drop-down menu possible)
Dialogue - From $10 - $25
Choices - From $10 - $35
Chat History - From $10 - $20
Save / Load - From $10 - $20
Settings - From $10 - $20

For any additional screens needed that are not listed, please contact with specifications for an exact quote.

Extra Options:
These are additional systems that I am capable of creating.
Most aren't Ren'Py native features, but custom systems I will create in Python.
Prices that say 'starting from' are based on complexity and a specific quote can be given once exact specifications are provided.

Dynamic Screens (sliding into view, fading transitions, etc.) - Starting from $40
Nameable MC - Starting from $10
Button Sound FX - Starting from $10
Stat / Point Systems - From $10 - $35
Animation Engine / Spritesheet Reader - Starting from $50
2.5D Isometric Tile Engine - Starting from $350
2.5D Isometric Tile Engine Map Maker - Starting from $350
2D Tile Engine (like SNES Zelda) - Starting from $250
2D Tile Engine Map Maker - Starting from $250
JRPG Combat System - Starting from $200
Idle RPG Combat System - Starting from $500
Barebones Format (allows you to easily redefine the images and positions per screen) - Starting from $50

Please note, I am not developing heavy load (i.e. 100s of sprites), real-time games such as shoot'em ups at this time.
Such real-time games require an excessive amount of optimization and care, and the pricing is significantly higher.

What you require:
You should have the screen mockups and artwork ready for your game, unless you choose the Barebones format.
If you'd like me to work on UI art as well, it may be possible. Pricing will vary accordingly.
Simply contact me with your requirements for a quote.

Special Offer
For the first 3 clients who leave a review on this post after their work is completed, I am offering a 20% discount!

Additional Notes:
I require a deposit of 50% of the agreed price, up-front. This is to cover food & living expenses as I work on your game.
Depending on project size, the percentage of deposit is negotiable.
If a character reference is required, I can send contact info of most recent client.
All payments should be delivered via Paypal. My Paypal address will be provided once we have agreed on pricing.
I am open to signing Non-Disclosure Agreement before discussing any details related to your production.

For reference of 2D Engine, see Who Wants To Destroy An Alien in my signature.
For reference of JRPG Combat System, see Who Wants To Destroy An Alien in my signature.
For reference of 2.5D Isometric Engine, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOC1VsaPrOo
For reference of GUI Artwork, I did the UI art for the abovementioned references.

For reference of my work speed, the demo for Who Wants To Destroy An Alien (available on Steam, see signature below) covers 114 days of development.

For any inquiries, feel free to DM me, or contact by email: sypherzent@gmail.com

I am also open to providing one-on-one teaching lessons at rates that you can afford. If interested, PM me with your budget and I'll let you know precisely how many hours I can dedicate, based on what you're able to offer. For example of my teaching, check my tutorials thread.

Note that I am offering these services as a way of financing my own developments.
Therefore I'll be as dedicated with your game as I am with my own projects!
