The Liberated Pixel Cup is a treasure-trove of internally consistent 32^2 tiles for use in game designs, particularly top-down RPGs. Including both tilesets and character sprites, the Liberated Pixel Cup assets have a cartoony style reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.

Wow, didn't expect to see this here since tile based pixel artwork isn't really used in VN's. Well, if anyone does care, all the stuff I made for that has since been re-licenced as CC-By-3.0 and there's more done by me and other artists at opengameart.org

Well, to be clear, most of it still is SA. LPC was done by a lot of different artists and not everyone changed to CC-By. You can see which artists did the base assets here: http://lpc.opengameart.org/static/lpc-s ... rs-chapter I can't remember which ones switched over, you'll want to contact them to check if you need the more permissive license. OpenGameArt.org has all the licensing info on the same page as where you download the art so the stuff you find there will be much easier to check licensing on.
