Onigiri--that 3-D render-y JMMORPG
I barely ever play it, so when I do, it's so awkward when everyone else has leveled up so much and I'm just like forever lvl 26. :3

Re: Last game you played?
So two different thoughts on two different games:
1) I finished the last episode of the Back to the Future game from TellTale Games. Was it necessary? No. Was it still awesome? Fuck yes! It felt just like the movies in some ways, and like it could be a semi-plausible (if not overly-convoluted) continuation to them, like it was written by fans who loved the movies and wanted to see more of it, not a committee trying to make a lot of money. It's probably not the best TellTale Games has done, but I still greatly enjoyed it.
2) I started up the new Nancy Drew game Labyrinth of Lies today, and so far I'm of two thoughts: a) I'm enjoying this and I love what they're doing with the Greek mythos and how some aspects almost go back to the earlier games (actually seeing the path you're walking on instead of fading in and out, a good old-fashioned museum mystery--kind of like Secret of the Scarlet Hand, etc.) and I also like how the suspects are written thus far (though suspects in other games can be a bit archetypical, they're also lovable, quirky oddballs and are almost never boring and do get some modicum of development, at least in later games; here these suspects are quite well-fleshed out), and HOLY CRAP TARTARUS IS AMAZING and b) I hate these iPad/touch-screen designed puzzles.
Like...a good puzzle should feel naturally integrated into the environment, it shouldn't stand out as a puzzle unless there's some rhyme or reason for it to stand out, you know? Some of the older ND games did sometimes have problems with this (the worst offender that comes to mind is that infamous escape puzzle at the end of Stay Tuned For Danger, but other than that I loved that ending because it freaked me out more than any ending in the entire series), but the more recent games, even the really awesome ones I love, tend to be pretty bad with this.

Onto Papers, Please. Wow, it's been a long, long while since I've played a game and...did not feel comfortable.

Technically it was Game Dev Tycoon.
But I want to say Transistor, because I watched my fiance play it while I mindlessly forgot to play GDT.

Re: Last game you played?
Last game i recently played was Grandia 2 which is somewhat just as good as Grandia 1, story-wise. I'm pretty sure Grandia 3 ended the series...

Does mobile games also count? It's been a while since I pciked a video game but playing on the phone in the subway (and in class ) is firmly a part of my daily routine. Last one was Finger Killer - pure and simple reflex game, it's great for keeping me awake and pumped. Got it here:

Yes, all games count from RPG's-MMORPG's to anything that is basically a game and or playable.Netty wrote:Does mobile games also count? Persona 4 Golden. I'm still playing it, does that count? I don't remember the last one I played... maybe Ace Attorney 4 or Ni No Kuni. Nah, it was the first Spyro actually. That game is great.
Anyone else love those old spyro/crash bandicoot and stuff games? For some reason they feel way more fun to play than some of the newer titles lol.

I just finished playing the early development build of Return of the Obra Dinn. It's by the same creator of Papers, Please. I enjoyed the very different-looking art style and the game mechanics.

Last game I've played is Dragon Age: Inquisition. I just started the game a few days ago since I wanted to read up on the lore from the first two games first since I never played them. So much fun to get immersed into such a big world!

I've been playing Long Live The Queen, after the steam sale. It's fun, so hard though.

Recently installed StarCraft II again and played a game. I just can't seem to get enough of it :p
Re: Last game you played?
I've played a lot of Persona Q recently and I really like it. I'm a big Persona Fan and I really like Etrian Odyssey so I had to buy it, haha. Highly recommended if you like either of those games but you need some background information of persona 3 and 4 to fully enjoy it.

Re: Last game you played?
I actually played AK during the beta. It was a pretty good game. But then I was a sorceress-bard and every party only wanted dps/bards... so I could rarely get into high-level parties needed for levelling up.Papina wrote:Been playing Aura Kingdom lately. XD
Dropped the game by that point. Lvl 56.
Anyway... aside from CosmicBreak, I played Rise of Nations again last night. Very chaotic. One match ended after 5 hours. My current match is still running... two hours already. ;_; so much attrition.
