The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Doesn't look like a fake, but here is something I found in my (french) newspaper, I scanned it at low res but will scan the entire page at high res just to be sure :
If it is a true shoot, I can just say "wow, they can still have time to watch subs in the internet there". But if it is really true, I must say that the image is just appropriate for this kind of situation (she can change the world cannot she?)
A translation of the writtings near the image would be appreciated to confirm that

I'd love to see the translation of the arabic writing on the sign. This does sort of remind me of the Bert-Osama thing:

I posted the picture on another anime forum. After several accusations of me being a liar, fraud, and a photoshopper, someone sensible finally said they came across the same article on a Japanese site.

Also on Yahoo in English: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061211/ap_ ... l_shooting
The placard says "Please do not kill children". So the picture has nothing to do with Haruhi specifically. More of a generic girl picture. Although, one has to wonder how they stumbled across the picture.

Not much there yet, but even that little is already getting attention on sites like Anime News Network and Anime On DVD. Who knows if it's official or not, but ANN is apparently advertising SHnY and someone mentioned that Chris Beverage (Anime on DVD webmaster) knows more than he's letting on, so it could mean something... I guess we'll just have to wait for the 22nd before we know anything for sure.

Yeah, and they appear to either be affiliated with SOS-dan.com or they totally shut them down... See also: http://groups.google.com/group/rec.arts ... b01428819eDrakeNavarone wrote:http://www.asosbrigade.com

Does anyone know what happened to the Haruhi wiki!? It's completely down right now.
http://www.baka-tsuki.net/project/index ... iya_Haruhi
And I was just thinking of skipping the "Where Did the Cat Go" chapter (the translator has abandoned it for 3 weeks and given little to no notice to the other ones involved in that project) and I was going to download the rest of Volume Seven.
(sad)
Did anyone get it before it went down?
