Nice feature article of sorts. There's a certain awkward charm to this series that makes it enjoyable to watch even now.
Edit: btw, I saw this posted in a few other boards (spam?) lawlz
Yuyu Hakusho was known as Ghost Fighter in my country and became a household name of sorts. There was a time back in the mid-nineties when everyone, including housewives and public utility drivers knew who "Eugene" (our version of Yusuke Urameshi) was. "Ghost Fighter" was dubbed in Tagalog and they showed all 112 episodes here. The dubbing was mostly accurate apart from the names and some colloquialisms.
From what I can remember:
Yusuke = Eugene
Kuwabara = Alfred
Kurama = Dennis
Hiei = Vincent
Botan = Charlene
Kayko = Jenny
Strangely enough, they kept the original names for most of the villains and side-characters.

How do you make your games? I see. Thank you for the prompt replies, but it is my considered opinion that you're doing it wrong inefficiently because I am a perfushenal professional. Do it my way this way and we can all ascend VN Nirvana together while allowing me to stroke my ego you will improve much faster. Also, please don't forget to thank me for this constructive critique or I will cry and bore you to death respond appropriately with a tl;dr rant discourse of epic adequately lengthy proportions. - Sarcasm Veiled in Euphemism: Secrets of Forum Civility by lordcloudx (Coming soon to an online ebook near you.)

Ah the joy of local adaptation
Sadly, Yuu yuu Hakusho never made it on TV back then in my country. Most people rediscovered the series about four years later, when the huge anime and manga trend hit in 1997.
I just remembered that their hairstyles made me think about the Beehives from Ai Shite Knight. But in a more gangsta way back then (since it's how bosozoku used to have their hairstyle, in a caricatural way).
The manga was great, the anime was great too. I used to collect the games too and play with my bro, firing "Reigun"
