I recall a math game that was built for VAX in the days before PCs. If you got the problem correct, it flashed the screen, and gave you another problem. If you got ten in a row, it displayed a little star, and then gave you harder problems.

I'd have to say Harvest Moon 64 for the N64. Loved that game :D I wasn't even in school yet when I played it first. But when I was a baby the only way my mom could get me to go to sleep was if she played Yoshi's Cookie for the snes while I watched. Course, I didn't physically play that so... >.>

Now that I think about it though, the first game I played could have been Kirby's Adventure or Super Mario Bros. for the Nes. Or Pokemon Yellow on my Gameboy Color. Gah, so many games xD

My Dad got an NES when I was about 6 or so. The first game I ever saw was either Final Fantasy or Ultima. (they came right after the other in my house so I no longer remember which I saw first)

The first game I was allowed to play was Super Mario Brothers for the NES. I would be Luigi while my Uncle was Mario. If anyone remembers the NES Super Mario then you know that you had to wait until Mario died in order to play Luigi....well my Uncle never died. He could beat the whole freaking game in one guy, which to a 6 year old was freaking amazing, but sucked at the same time. So out of that frustration a family saying was coined as I told my Uncle "I wish someone would just get dead." Man I feel like breaking out my nintendo now lol

Pokemon Gold on a Nintendo Gameboy Color.
At least I think it was gold.. my cousin and I played them together all the time.

This thread is making me want to play all these old games again :3

Does Street Fighter count as a video game? XD I wanna be proud that I always beat my brother all the time. Herp derp.
I think it was Pokemon Leaf Green. :D Enjoyed that game a lot, although I wasn't able to finish it.

Ummm. Crap. I think it was the Mario Bros./Duck Hunt bundle the NES had.

I do remember that Final Fantasy II (actually IV, but it was named II in the US when it first came out) was my first RPG! I managed to miss Final Fantasy I for the NES until after I'd played II.

Tetris and Pac Man on Gameboy.
... and then the next three years were consumed by Harvest Moon, Pokemon and Worms.

Oh, the beautiful memories.
Wooeing all the boys in town then marrying the Kappa so none of the rivals could get married. :'D
Enslaving tiny creatures in spherical machines and forcing them to battle.
Watching little worms explode each other with grenades and rocket launchers...

The sweet sweet memories.

Can't remember that much anymore (I was like, six?), but I'm pretty sure it was Super Mario Bros. Either that or Pokemon.

Knockout Kings 2000 on Playstation, lol. I remembered playing it with my uncle who is just 6 years older than me.

The very first game that I bought with my own money is Final Fantasy VII which I bought from a friend but turns out to be a ripoff cause the third disc is heavily scratched and doesn't work. Though by the time I got the a copy of the third disc which some good guy gave to me, I already played 99:59:59 worth of game time, lol.

Mine would be a mix of NES games such as contra/super contra, pacman, ikari warriors (how I managed to beat that is beyond me, the controls were awful! ) and gauntlet (never could beat that one >< )

I think the very first was a Zelda game (possibly Ocarina of Time). I was really young, so my brother would give me a controller and tell me I was playing when actually, he was. I thought I was actually doing something when I was really just pressing buttons, LOL.
The first one I REALLY played was Mario Kart 64, though ;w;

My dad bought his friend's PS1 back when I was 4. It came with Gran turismo and metal gear solid. Those were the good times

Umm...not sure if this counts, but my first game would be snake on my dad's old Nokia Phone (Those practically indestructable phones)
On the PC, it was minesweeper.
On a console, mario bros on the SNES.
That's all I can remember
