My Virtual GF/BF (iOS and Android)

#1 Post by gekiganwing »

A pair of games called "My Virtual Girlfriend" and "My Virtual Boyfriend" have been available for iOS and Android devices for a while. They are western romance games which feature polygon graphics and character customization. I didn't have much to say about them, because I didn't notice anything exceptionally good, bad, or notable about them...

...until now. I saw a Siliconera article stating that the player can now "fall in love with a zombie." Yes, for some reason, the games currently enable zombie boyfriend / girlfriend NPCs. I'm not sure if this is an attempt to add a few fantastic elements to an otherwise down-to-earth game, a cynical cash grab, or trying to latch on to a meme which is already sounding outdated. Regardless, the article caught my attention.
