Help needed trying to remember the name of a game....

I keep wanting to call it Annamundo or something similar but obviously that isn't right because I never find the game when I run searchs with that as the keyword and trying to search up "anime style goth game" or "anime style elegant gothic lolita" doesn't work either

Anyway...it's a game about this girl....I think she's blonde and something about her brother or lover trying to reunite his lover's head / sisters head with her body (I can't remember if she's somehow still alive after being beheaded but I do remember the story was just as weird as the title) ...and it has gothic style , EGL (egl dress) related content, very nice anime / manga style art ....A very strange dark story

If I remember correctly, it was supposedly a ren'ai / dating sim or whatever type game (but obviously still a twisted and dark story)

It used to be heavily advertised for some time but for some reason now it's one of the hardest things to find....especially since the long and stupidly difficult name (all I am sure about is the title starts with an A and it is a really strange title...I wouldn't even know how to say it...) is so hard to remember

I could kick myself now for not ever taking the time to write some notes about it or type something to help me memorize the title

If any of this sounds familiar please post and I would especially appreciate being informed about where any sites on it are - their url and any other info

I hope I'm not the only wanting to tear my hair out because I can't remember what the title is or where I can find this game online (because I don't remember the title)

I'm mainly asking because I might buy it if only somebody could help me find it (and if indeed after all these years you can still get it from somewhere like the bodyguards game)

Note: the title sounds the same and also the genre but it is a BL game though according to your description it might be WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR.

The hero in this game made a contract with a demon to save his sister(who I think got beheaded or something, anyways, is dead) and so on.

Some things you should know...

First, keep in mind that Anima Mundi is a visual novel. It doesn't include any complex gameplay.

Second, the English publisher Hirameki went out of business over four years ago. Only one of its products has been reissued since then. (That would be Yo-Jin-Bo, which is being sold in paid-download form on J-List.) Therefore, most of the company's games are rare and expensive. I looked on eBay and Amazon, and saw ridiculous prices for genuine copies of Anima Mundi.

Third, I read on Wikipedia that in the English version of Anima Mundi, "...the gore and soft yaoi..." were censored. It was never an explicit game, unlike some of the other products that Hirameki localized. While the company later released a patch to correct translation errors and a bug, the company did not release an uncensored version.

Finally, as far as I know, no other Karin Entertainment games have been translated. Some fans have been slowly working on Princess Nightmare, but updates are few and far between. It's tough to say if the project is still active.

I have a copy but I found it hard to get into (didn't really like the art style (of faces and particularly of women), and while trying to overlook that, didn't really like most of the characters or the general writing style either). Eventually gave up partway through and never reached any endings. It's a pity, because I liked the idea of the game a lot... but it didn't live up to expectations for me.

(Of course, I never finished Yo Jin Bo either! I'm more likely to finish YJB than Animamundi though.)

I'd offer to sell mine except I'm not even sure I know where it IS anymore. I'm sure it's around somewhere...

That's the one! Thank you very much, you all. Funny that I didn't remember this was a BL thing and never knew other things about it.

On it being BL - I like softcore and some hardcore BL ...there are certain aspects of BL art or scenes I don't like but overall I consider myself a fan of both yaoi / BL and yuri. Same if you bring up "slash" or "lemon" and other terms. I'll play and read just about anything, heh.

I knew the company that made Yo-Jin-Bo went out of business but I didn't remember/know the name and I didn't know that they made this game. ( I do right now though! Hopefully I won't forget...and if I do forget I could always remind myself by looking at this thread lol )

Aww, censorship and limited / no interactivity? Meh.

I just did a search on it and there's videos up at youtube on it...yay.

You mean the company that localized Yo-Jin-Bo. Two Five, the creators, is still alive and kicking, making Power Rangers the Otome Game---I mean Gakuen Tokyuu Hotokenser, which I believe should get it's ass localized because I think a lot of people here would like it.

It's not really Gothic but Musketeer -le sang de chevaliers- is sort of close, art style wise. At least with Aramis |D. But it's only in Japanese |Dc

You can also try meine liebe(I dunno if I got the spelling right), which i think is goth(?) too.

I heard FANATICA is a gothic style too but it's BL.
