I'd buy without second thoughts, but I hope I don't end up wasting a senseless amount of money on it.

I guess next step is a tail that moves according to your mood.

I see these also have replacement ears, just in case white isn't your colour.

I thought I'd attach a picture. They were selling them at Comic-Con San Diego. Because I got Photoshop recently For their safety, I took out some peoples' eyes.

Not really checking the forums any more due to time constraints, so if you want to contact me, PM. I'll get a notification and log in.
Also, I've been hit and run posting, which means I don't see many replies. If you want to respond to something I've said, also feel free to PM me.

NOTE: if you've got questions about vnovel or things like that, it's Leon that you should be contacting. Leon's been pretty much handling everything, but due to various reasons, I've had to withdraw entirely.

Ask and ye shall receive. I took this short video earlier today:

The #renpy IRC channel is a great place to chat with other devs. Due to the nature of IRC and timezone differences, people probably won't reply right away.

If you'd like to view or use any code from my VN PM me. All code is freely available without restriction, but also without warranty or (much) support.

Heck, what will they make next? Ears...a tail...it's very interesting, and the price is fair, but I'd never buy one. Still, oddly intriguing.

There was also a hat with a wagging tail at the back. I don't remember seeing anyone wearing one, but it was in one of the demonstration videos.

I... don't get the appeal of this at all.
To each their own I guess.

I kind of wanted to get these, but then I realized that they're only cute if they're on the right person. I wouldn't be the right person.

I would wear it just to see how accurately it reads my feelings, but not buy it.
TrickWithAKnife wrote:I'm not a fan of the look, but imagine if games used this. Being able to read the player's emotions would open up countless possibilities.
Imagine games that can figure out what gets an emotional reaction from you, and adjusts to your personality.
That could be the start of "full immersion RPGs" (I can't think of the proper term right now for those gaming helmets that send your mind into a simulation).

They work reading the pressure your head puts against it and contact with the skin. it's not 'mind controlled' it's muscle and skin that's it.

here you are Kitty ears They are impressive, but they are again REALLY loud and run about $100 at major cons.

US release

anyway Good "Fun" item but that earclip gets annoying after a while/

Oh? I thought electrical signals were involved. (Unless that news article is wrong?)

Reading the article, I guess I would check if it actually goes down or up to correspond with whether I'm relaxed or concentrating.

Well kind of. The artical is using the "buzzword" version of EEG. So far the only True EEG toy on the market is the emotiv beyond that the rest are just gimicks that read your skin like a pressure button.

The time it takes for the electricity to be picked up from the emitter tells it where your "emotions" are at the moment. It's been in toys for a while now. It's just the tech has gotten small enough to use in "toy" standards.

Excessive sweat, too dry of skin, dirt can mess it up too.

Make your own
