Opening .pak files in JVNs

#1 Post by Coren »

How do you open .pak files in JVNs? Apparently the typical methods don't seem to work. It's as if JVNs have a different sort of pak file as the rest of us.

There's no single .pak format. PAK is a general term used by programmers to indicate a single file that packages multiple sub-files together.

I don't know what specific game you're trying to open, but have you tried CRASS yet?

I tried the CRASS one, but none of the download links seem to work.

Where can I get a susie plugin?

EDIT: I managed to obtain CRASS, but all it can extract are my savefile images. It can't extract the pak files.

EDIT2: Ah nevermind, I found a program called ExtractData which works perfectly! Thanks! :)

Extract data was the ultimate tool which extracts any VNs, but minori sued the developer and it ends. There are many alternative tools now, but all of them never be good as Extract data.
