What kind of type Anime/Otome Character do you like ?

Hmmm, I like the troll type. Also, some devilish protagonist trait. Oh, and make them be crazy. Really crazy.
Accelerator and Yuno are great examples <3.

Kuudere shotas, then. Gosh. Hey, Break from Pandora Hearts is my idea of a 'mysterious troll' haha. I like his types too, which normally fall under what my good friend hates.
Too much of a troll makes me want to break out a German suplex, though, so not too yandere orz. Guess that's why kuudere are my favorite...Est from Wand of Fortune comes to mind...

I love it when they have a quirk that defines them in the good as well as the bad way.
It makes them unique, funny, but can also make them very serious.

A prime example would be Death the Kid from Soul Eater with his obsession with symmetry.
Or Ayaka from Yuugen Kaisha with her shopping addiction.
Or Izzy who uses his compiter for every tiny little problem.

It makes them predictable, funny, but also can make the story keep going (like the shopping addiction from Ayaka, which makes the company be in debt all the time, forcing them to keep working).

Cute thread! Thinking about this makes me realise how much my tastes have changed growing up. When I was young, I was pretty hardcore into typical bishounen with boyish faces. OTL I sort of liked shotas once, I guess, but never as much as teenagers with cute boyish faces. Like... let's see... I had a huge crush on Soujirou from Rurouni Kenshin when I was little sdafjs

Now that I'm older, I'm a sucker for handsome faces and ossans rofl. I am still a huge fan of boyish faces like Gintama's Sougo or Otoyome's Ali (HNGHH THIS GUY IS MY FAVOURITE) but handsome dudes like Camus from Suikoden II or various characters from the Fire Emblem games get me all the time. I've also developed a fondness for pretty faces -- not feminine pretty, but fierce and elegant sort of pretty, that's typical of stoic kuuderes. I guess Otoyome's Azer would be an example, haha. (I love that man, he's such a beast.)

Focusing more on personality, when I was young I loved straightforward shounen youth who would relentlessly chase their dreams. I had a thing for guys with charisma, too, because SII's Flik was also my childhood crush. OTL Nowadays, though, I am ALL for people with charisma and maturity. Higashi no Eden/Eden of the East's Akira is one of the most romantic male characters I have ever come across in my entire life of watching anime and sporadically playing video games. Other personality stereotypes I enjoy are kuuderes (I can't get enough of their pretty faces), genki/sawayaka, tsunderes (to a certain extent), and aniki types. Also, fierce rival characters, anyone? |D

... it's probably easier for me to list out tropes I don't like than tropes I like haha for instance, I never really liked... flirts... or shotas that much, really. Dark boys with an angsty past involving family tragedies are also less likely to appeal to me, as they can have pretty batshit personalities... =_=;

Hmm, as for me, I have two types that I like the most:

- The cute (but still handsome), naive and innocent looking men with scarfs. I don't know why, but scarfs attract me. And the fact that they are can act all cute makes me nosebleed. Examples: KAITO Vocaloid and Tsukishima Shizuo.

- The cool-looking, and charming men. Plainly said tsundere. I'm not sure why, but they're very lovable and sweet, I would love to have someone like that with me. Examples: England (isn't that obvious?), Kurosaki Tasuku, Archer and Garry (but Garry isn't really a tsundere).


Look at him and tell me you don't love him, I'll kick you.

I like the villainous type...a boy with a scary and ruthless person in the outside, but is soft as a muffin on the inside

Yes, I like megane guys who wear it and acts so sexy with it, regardless of the evil in them.

Prime example is Kyouya of Ouran Highschool Host Club. That guy never left my system for months! HNGGG

Also, what did you think of when writing "like"? Like I have sympathy for certain characters or think they are cool/to be respected/impressive or more like the like-like like feeling attracted to a certain character?

What gave you that impression? The inflated amount of GxB games in or the constant Otome dating sim questions?

Anyways, when I do play an otome game that interests me They are few and far in between I tend to like the oddballs, since they might be hiding something darker 99.9% of the time it tends to be a disappointment though.

In anime, I'm really all over the place in my likes, however, I do like the tough characters. (As in, they do a lot of badass things and remain cool and calm)

I like the handsome, good looking,bad ass, jerk,stupid and of course a bad boy=) But shows his nice side to you only.
