lmao, I've been seeing it all day on tumblr.
I think it's a commercial? Like some sources say it a commercial.
Others say it might be an anime, but idc.
But seriously, there was no dialogue or names whatsoever and suddenly there is a fandom because of this 30 sec video.
It's rather amazing how ridiculous fangirls would do with half naked boys in a swimming pool.
The fandom dubbed it swimming anime, but its title is "Ore to Omae no sa o Oshiete Yaru Yo".

I'm pretty sure it's just a commercial to promote KyoAni.

Millions of fangirls dreams were crushed tonight.

They often make random commercials outside of their main projects.
Though many employees of the company are females, so it's natural they want to make an anime for yaoi fan girls.

what I can't believe this even spread to LSF what XD

The Tumblr fandom just exploded with this. It's just a commercial. It's mostly for fangirls, haha.

Personally, I think the animation is gorgeous, but the art style is pretty cliche. I've been seeing that art style pop up a lot recently, have to say I'm getting sick of it.

To be fair, "Half naked boys in swimming pool" is kind of obvious. You don't go swimming fully dressed.

It is just a commercial. They were working on this in 2012, if my sources are right (said sources probably being too deep in my dash to be worth looking for by now) but it was cancelled and what they had made used to make this advert. It wasn't the first time either.

But apprarantly 2chan has a lot of interest in this so it may be revived.

What does the title mean?

Also, this is the first time I saw anything but gifs and I have to say I am impressed with the way the water is animated. I hear that is one of the most difficult things after walk cycles.

That's because it's from the same artist every time; which is Futoshi NISHIYA. I can recognized his style by now, and I must say it's amazing and quality of the animation are beyond superb.

Really? I think it's kind of refreshing to see a more realistic style done for anime. It certainly isn't as cliched as the moe style.

Yeah, I've seen them do stuff like this before. It's almost like they enjoy professionally trolling fan-girls.

Bathing suits from before the 1950s and pale-skinned nerd boys would disagree with that blanket statement. Or you could be a victim of your mother's nerdiness and horrid fashion sense and not realize until you're 11 that you shouldn't be swimming with a shirt on. Not that I would know anything about that....

After milking fanboys dry with K-ON, they're now after fangirls where the money is at...
I see what you're doing there, KyoAni. xD
/gets shot

As always, I'm so impressed with their animation. They always make the movement so fluid and realistic, although I find it sort of hilarious that the guys have moe faces for such toned bodies lol. It took me a while to get used it.

Yeah, their chins do look like they could cut steel. "Square-jawed men? Heck, no. Triangle-jaws are all the rage! Points are sexy."

*cough* Male Unitard Swimsuits, rash guards and several others.
They exist. They're hard to find but they exist. So the boys need not neccesarily be half naked when swimming.

And yeah... I find the bodies kinda weird too.
