What Manga is this? It's driving me nuts not knowing.

#1 Post by Dreambrush »

A few years ago in my city, the biggest bookstore (Borders') was closing down, so I decided to take a look at all the stuff they were trying to get rid of. They had a huge manga section, so I did some browsing, and a certain book caught my eye. If I remember correctly, it was a one-shot book.

I remember it starring several characters, one of which was a raven-haired girl with beautiful black tresses. I seem to remember she was fairly calm, quiet, and serious, without being overly so, and she was a decent fighter.

This series had a lot of action, but also some romance. The major plot points had something to do with a virus that involved plants... roses, I believe, were the major focus. I think that one of the girl's close friends (and potential love interest) got infected and she had to fight him.

I have tried to find out what this manga was called, but I can't remember for the life of me! I've tried searching for titles with the words, "Rose, virus, crimson, blood,", etc. but to no avail. Can anyone help me with finding out the name of this series?

It's Crimson Shell by Mochizuki Jun! You may like the author's ongoing series Pandora Hearts as well.

Thank you so much! That's it!

And yeah, someone I know recommended Pandora Hearts to me. Not quite sure about it, but I'll take a look. ;)

Thanks again!
