No, no, no. Mecha is like BL in that either you love that stuff or you don't understand how anyone could like it. Star Driver is very low in drama, and even if it is uneven, when it's good, it's very good.

If you want action, try Tiger & Bunny. Not mecha (besides the battle armors and a few androids) but great action series. And OtomeWeekend, you will love them boys.

lol, yeah, I should give tiger and bunny some time since well, it was quite popular around here(it had been on the cover pages of anime magazines since lately).

Oh I see. Then back to the original plan, I'm going to watch it in one all-nighter... after I fully recovered since right now I'm still sick and a bit light-headed ;P

I have watched Tiger and Bunny. Definitely one of my favorite. And I'm craving for a sequel.
I want to see Tiger power evolved into something greater, more on his past (and his wife), and more about his romantic relationship with BlueRose (and Tiger's family reaction)

I just finished watching the anime "Another".
It's definitely one of the better shows I've seen. Haven't sat through an entire series in a while, and I watched this one in just two days, so it definitely grabbed me! I'd say without hesitation it's one of my favorite anime now.
It's a must see to horror/suspense fans ^_^

Hiyokoi....

Because:
-I'm a biased Suzumura Kenichi fan
-It IS a Kimi ni Todoke clone
-Hiyori is cute
-The chick was cute xD

I don't know. I just watched the OVA and wished there was more. It's been 2 years ago since i saw a shoujo anime less you count that I've be replaying fushigi yuugi and some old shoujo anime there.

I just finished 'Welcome to the N.H.K.', which I absolutely enjoyed and would recommend for the more mature anime fan. For the most part it deals with social anxiety (the hikkikomori in Japan), the issues that I can relate to all too well... There's a great friendship (which involves making a VN) and this odd girl, Misaki-chan, who is really cute.

Speaking of Misaki, Misaki Mei from 'Another' was another cute character (kuudere~), I really liked the start of that series, it had great backgrounds, eerie soundtrack and perhaps an all too pretty style. Though it didn't quite work as an horror series...

I'm really just starting to branch out into the Anime world lol

I just finished watching Itazura Na Kiss, and it is def in my top now. I love how the protag was persistent, and in the end she gets her love <3, what can i say? I'm a sucker for high school/romantic comedy animes xD

I'm going to watch 'skip beat!' next. To anyone who has watched it. Yay or nay?

It's not manga, but Western boylove comics (with some manga influence):

TJ & Tamal: http://tjandamal.com/index.html
Starfighter: http://starfightercomic.com/comic.php

Both of them are extremely well done (and NSFW, particularly Starfighter.)

Skip Beat! is such a slow torture... I just want to see the next chapter dang it! There was a Taiwanese drama of Skip Beat! but the main actress' acting was grating, yet some funny scenes everywhere (and a kissing scene between the Taiwanese version of Ren and Kyoko that never happened because it was a freaking dream. I finished watching Chihayafuru, an anime about karuta or poetry card game. Many people said that Chihayafuru was very underrated, but it was so good with the tense love triangle and rooting for the underdogs Chihaya and friends to succeed. The manga's largely untranslated, but it's super long. Inu x Boku SS was an anime I also finished, but the story progression was much slower. It was largely overseeing Richiyo's development to be more extroverted. The last episode tied everything together in one sweet knot (even if Richiyo looks like a loli and sexy Miketsukami's personality may be more questionable at the end...). So sad Gintama ended forever (I think?).

I still read Vampire Knight only to see who Yuki will go with (I hope it's Zero because Kaname is freaking crazy at this point). I'm reading Can't See, Can't Hear but Love which is a sweet manga about a blind man who lives with a deaf woman.

The same here, that manga quickly became my favorite of all times when I was just a few chapters in.

Beelzebub is my current favorite. I recommend the manga over the anime, though.

I used to be into some of the mainstream manga/anime, but I just couldn't keep up with them anymore...

Right now?
I'm absolutely loving Japanese children's horror anime, with the kids solving mysteries and exorcising ghosts.
I've learnt a lot about myths, like the Dullahan and Hanako.
Plus, since they're meant for kids I don't get so scared! Oops.

Things like Kaiden Restaurant and Ghost Stories.
Oh Ghost Stories, you are your amazing comedic dub...
