Re: The first anime you ever saw?
Can't say what I first saw, since I think I saw a good deal of kiddie anime in german tv as I kid. But the first one I became an obsessed fan of was Nagareboshi Gin (Or "Silver" as it was called here). Didn't know the term "anime" back then though, only that it was japanese.
Aaah the memories.
Then years later came Pokemon, heh.

I WORSHIPED GUNDAM WING. I'm still secretly in love with Duo! "Mr nice guy"~Sioraf wrote:Gundam Wing I think. Either that or Pokemon or Tenchi Muyo!
Re: The first anime you ever saw?
We never got Silver on Swedish television during the 90's ;_;! But there is a translation, so I guess it was shown before. I've never really cared for it, but I must admit I love the idea of talking dogs (101 dalmatians is my favourite disney movie)Vatina wrote:Can't say what I first saw, since I think I saw a good deal of kiddie anime in german tv as I kid. The very first one? As i recall, it was Yattaman or Yattodetaman and I was six There wasn't much anime back then in our country, we could count them on fingers. Anyway, I liked it very much.

Re: The first anime you ever saw?
This must be a trick question.
The very first anime I saw was probably The Brave Fighter of Legend Da-Garn when I was in kindergarten.
Then, I think Sailor Moon and Pokemon were pretty popular when I was in elementary school.
The anime that officially started the obsession was Love Hina though. That would be the beginning point of the long lifestyle spiral... =w=

Re: The first anime you ever saw?
This is a difficult question, I forgot the first anime I saw! I think it's Saint Seiya or Voltes V? But the first major anime that officially aired in my country (which has big impact on me) is SailorMoon. It was such a big hit at that time (heck, in Japan, it's also a big hit).

I think that would be Macross or Star Blazers....or maybe the Ultraman movie...tough to remember that far back tho!

Re: The first anime you ever saw?
I seem to recall seeing a topic like this somewhere... Probably a different forum. Anyway, I think the first anime I actually saw more than once was Pokémon (on American TV). I don't know what the first Japanese one I saw was... Possibly Grenadier. I first got into anime when I was in a "clan" on a site that mostly had to do with Yu-Gi-Oh! (I wasn't really into the game/show for long).
Pie is delicious.

I think it was Cardcaptor Sakura - which they began to air on Cartoon Network in ...2001? I didn't even know the term " anime " back then.

Moomin is so great! In the Swedish version, they speak with a finnish accent. Finnish is cute, but Finland-swedish is just -extreme-luminarious wrote:Moomin, about 5 years before I knew what anime was..
Almost as cute as clouds crapping rainbows.
