Miyuzaki Month @ TCM Channel

#1 Post by rioka »

In celebration of Miyuzaki's 60th birthday (Jan. 5th) this month, Turner Classic Movies will be showing Ghibli films every Thursday evening this whole month with both English dubbed plus original Japanese. Movies include Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Pom Poko, Only Yesterday, My Neighbor Totoro, Castle in the Sky, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Porco Rosso, and Whisper of the Heart. (Whisper of the Heart! It's finally coming out! <3 <3 <3)

And they're holding this pretty sweet contest too. =)

Btw, Disney's releasing My Neighbor Totoro the same time as Whisper of the Heart this coming March. 8)

Well, I don't know what version you got but this is for the English DVD. Official release. (Yeah, I got a fan dubbed version on tape since '96/1997? ^^)

*wishes I had cable too*

I remember Valley of the Wind from WAAAAAAAAAAAY back (if it's the same one that I remember)...I've seen Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away...love the style of animation....going to have to re-rent some of those =)
